picture perfect

i have a picture, that is 2.60 KB (2,664 bytes), size on disk is 4.00 KB (4,096 bytes). i want to replace this picture with another picture, the same size, diffrent graphics, same color tone. but it needs to be exact, i dont know how exactly how i could make it the exact file size? does anyone know....

What kind of file is it?

right now its a bmp...

Then I believe BMPs dont use any compression, so if you make a picture that is also a BMP, as long as it`s the same size in pixels, they should be equal in kb.

its in 256color bmp file... but see the picture sizes *arent* the same, nor the colors... what can i do?
