How to record FM Radio to your PC?

What hardware and software will I need to be able to record FM Radio onto my PC? I don't need it to be CD Quality or anything, but I would like to edit it, cut things out, and make it into a MP3 file.

A PCI card with an FM tuner, or a sound card with a line in and a radio/stereo with a line out. On the software side, Goldwave or another wave editor.

I have seen solutions that look like an antanae and plugs into your USB port, will this work OK?

Just use the line out on your stero, and connect it to pc's line in

Doubt it, unless its specifically designed for that. And still, you'll need special software to use it, so you'll probably need to run that special software and then capture the sound from your sound card.

i have my HiFi connected to my PC: HOW?

1. Take a wire from the OUTPUT (normally to speakers of hifi) of hifi and join to earphone plug.

2. Plug it in to the AUX or Line In on sound card

3. get Goldwave and set recording to Steario

4. record

Some hifi's have phono outs thts the 2 round 1's usually red and white

U can get phono 2 headfone style connectors much easier - jus connect to mic in and record using ur fav program

I recorded some tape in a similar way, but the final result ain't good.

My friend has a USB FM Tuner that he bought somewhere, and it works wonderfully. I'm not sure as to where he got it though. :)
