OK, here's that screenie of my changes.

What do you think?

Im gonna wait for a while, and then I'll make a new topic and post it here for all of you people (I'll probably upload it on deviantart because I have nowhere else to put it :p)

Can you make the arrows smaller and more slick looking?

First of all, I want to thank Dazza a lot for giving VX new life, appreciate it!!..keep up the good work dude ;)

I see u already decided to make 2 other colors (green and silver), does this mean that it will be just those two colors?..or will there be more like suggested byVX-fans in this thread?...in case there will be other colors..I reaaalllyyy like to see a beige color-theme!

thnx in advance!

cheers!

in what way?

Yeah, if anyone has some colours they'd like to see I'll work on it.

Ive decided to do a gold scheme before the green one, so when I release the next time, it will have both Silver and Gold schemes to boot. (insert  here)

Like this one of Opus 3.0 but different. The arroe here looks slick and small.

What I would do to make this style suit my taste if I knew how to use StyleBuilder:

- Make the titlebar caption text editable like other styles, not sure why but it doesnt let me turn the font into a bold one, specially if u r going to use Trebuchet for titlebar captions (I'd like to change it to Tahoma Bold 8 myself).

- Square-ify and simplify the tab headers and the drop down boxes, to make it a little bit different from original Luna.

(maybe even redesign the buttons to differentiate them a bit more from Luna's)

- Add hover effects for the title bar caption glyphs.

- Make the two hover effects on the 2 parts of the start panel match.

LunaVX_2.png

- Not sure if this would work well, but sometimes I have to look twice to find the active window in the taskbar so maybe it should be highlited in a color that would stand out more.

- Fix the google bar buttons bug :D

Of course what suite my visual style taste might not suit anybody else :p

Regarding your ideas:

? While I may eventually make things square, Im not going to do it to everything. Some thigs would look good being square (like the tab items as you demonstrated), but others such as the combo buttons would not (as is also demonstrated). The buttons might ge ta bit more square, but not much.

? If someone can tell me the command I need to enter to get that option for a custom font then I will add another font option.

? The two hover effects are pretty much the same ATM. Since the start menu hover is actually only a colour I cant change that (what have you done, a mockup?). As for the other menus, I decided to have a fading button selection because you may notice that on certain menus (ie: Favorites) the buttons will overlap the border. So that's going to stay like that for a while.

? The Flash button ATM cant be changed because the text colour wont change for the Flashbutton. Its Either a easy to see button or easily readable ATM im afraid. I'll fix it eventually though.

? the google thing cant be helped. Its a windows thing.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
