Although MSN 9.1 beta program has already been kicked off, testers who were not selected and are willing to participate can still apply for the beta.

The MSN 9.1 beta program is an interim release for MSN, so there are fewer new features and a shorter beta testing period (approximately 6 weeks) than MSN 9.0.

Before you continue, please understand that the beta release of any product will not be as stable as a shipped Microsoft product. You may encounter difficulties with the MSN Beta. These difficulties could result in a loss or destruction of data. This release is not appropriate for production use, and we recommend that you back up your existing data before you install and run this software.

To Join the Beta Program

1. Go to the BetaPlace Web site.

2. Sign in with your .Net Passport ID.

3. Use the Guest ID MSNBeta (Case Sensitive).

4. Click "Survey" on the left navigation bar, then click "MSN 9.1 Nomination".

6. Fill out and submit the nomination form

Participants will be chosen based on the survey results. You will only be contacted if you are selected to participate.

They provide you with dial-up access (if you don't already have a connection) and you get (or at least we did last time) the hotmail super-storage till your time is up :D

The program is pretty bloated and its probably better for old ppl than us tech-savy computerifites but I think trying to weed out bugs is kinda fun myself :p

I am part of the ongoing MSN beta....but they have taken it down for right now.

It seems the version they had on their wasn't the beta version but rather a prepaid version. Kept asking me for my prepaid card PIN.

Now there is a 'we are experiencing difficulties' message up and the download link is gone.
