liar2
I have just set up a network not too long ago. I had quite a few problems with network cables. Many of them did not work. I finally got one that worked. We sent it up through the attic to drop down into my room. It is about 75 ft long. It worked fine for about 2 weeks, and then it just went out last night. Now, my router is not detecting the cable. Does anyone know what's wrong? :ermm:

Vlad
Either you made your own cables and they're faulty; (assuming cat5 cables) they're over 99m in length; you're using cross over cable when you should be using normal cable.
liar2
I am using a Cat 5 cable. When connecting 3 or more computers, is when you need a crossover cable, in which I am not doing. Anywho, it's working again. I left the cable unplugged for a couple of hours, and turned my computer off for a couple hours as well. After plugging it in again, it worked. Magic, isn't it? PM5K
Prob not, maybe all you needed was a reset, it just depends on how your network is setup.
