In a modded browselc.dll, where all the menus are contained under one main menu, neither Tools, nor Favorites menus work.

*Edit: Stefanka, did you do something to this file making it impossible to edit the INI files in ResBuilder? I've tried modding the start menu margins and default fonts, and the result won't even load properly.

i cant get it to work!

I have installed the neowin uxtheme patcher but the theme does not show up in the list of themes or the list of appearances. double clicking on the windows visual style file also does nothing but load the disply properties box up with the default luna xp theme showing.

please could someone suggest where i'm going wrong?

Check out the name of the VS, and the Windows Appeareance(sp?) Tab shows PantherS instead if Longhorn Inspiriat.

no its def not there. this is my first theme i've tried to apply. do i have to do anything else other after running the uxtheme patcher to enable themes?

at first, i had the same problem but here's the way:

in your display properties, in the appearance tab (the place where you change your themes), the theme name is PantherS, it's not longhorninspiriat. if you have more than one PantherS theme, scroll through them all, and one of them should be it. most, if not all, of stefanka's previous themes seem to be named PantherS. even if your folder name is longhorninspiriat in the themes directory, it will still show up as PantherS in your themes drop down box in your display properties. hope this helps :)

Yeah, if you take a look at the guts of the theme, you'll see that there are still pieces of Panther theme in it...

Stefanka, you should take a look at ThemeNorth's Velvet Waves style. He did some sort of thing with the caption buttons, which may help with this theme. Like when you have 2 caption buttons on a dialog, you don't end up with a third useless button which doesn't do anything.

what do you mean all the menus are contained under one main menu?

and the Favorites menu does work, its only the Tools menu that isnt working. is that a bug or what?

This is so awesome stefanka. There's so many little touches on this VS that make it stand out, it feels like I'm using a different OS. I have a couple suggestions: the mouseover for the show all quicklaunch icons is a little rough, perhaps making it smaller would look a bit better. Also, would it be possible to make sub-style of 1 with a white background for toolbar buttons and a white taskbar like styles 2,3,4 but keeping the excellent Longhorn Aero'ish widgets from the 1 substyle?

Other than those very minor quirks, this is a fantastic VS and one I'm sure I will be using for a long time. Cheers!

    • I agree, especially if it is cloud sourced, like this one is.. but I wouldn't say no to a local AI assistant similar to the Zettlab one which would be really helpful with my large Photos library, but also to perform tasks like installing Docker apps rather than me having to do it via Docker Compose, but I don't think we're quite there yet. Synology Photos is somewhat AI, you can ask it to search for certain people (if you have tagged them and it will attempt to match similar photos to the person) and if you put a search term in for "cars" for example, it will show you all photos with a car.
    • I doubt that Google will keep the same price... it may go up from that list published.
