vassie
Has anyone had any problems with the above? After using mIRC and closing it, my PC becomes painfully slow, if I ctrl-alt-del and end the task, everything is OK. I'm also using the Dell OEM version of XP if it help? aco Veteran Posted September 20, 2001 Veteran Share Posted September 20, 2001 I havn't had any problems with mIRC in XP...yet. However, if you are getting too ****ed off with it, you could try Trillian. Trillian is ICQ, AIM, MSN, IRC and Yahoo! in one and it only uses about 8MB of RAM max. http://www.trillian.cc
Jon
That sounds well dodgy! I take it the process you have to end is mirc32.exe How much memory is it using after you've closed the mirc window? You havent registered it as a service have u? God knows wat effects that *could* have. It runs fine for me, i've never, ever had a problem with mirc of any version, under any MS OS.
