spcargt Posted March 7, 2002 Share Posted March 7, 2002 Hi guys, Thanks for the help with getting my iBook to 'talk' to my XP machine. Anyhow, I'd like to hook up my iBook to an A/B switch setup with my 19" Sony Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse. Until I get the switch, I wanted to test it out and it works great, except for one thing. If I close the laptop, the screen will shut off, even my monitor. Is there something that I could change that would prevent it from doing this or is this something that OSX just does? I can understand this from a power saving point of view, but I have it plugged into the wall and I'd hate to have to keep my laptop open while I use an external keyboard, mouse and monitor...
