Which programs do you use, and why?

Question

Im just wondering what programs people use for common stuff like browsing, listening to music, chatting etc...I made a list for you to fill out (you can add stuff if you like)

I'll start;

Browser: Opera 7.5 (best functions)

Music Player: Winamp 5.03 (more features than itunes, less resource usage)

Chat: Msn 6.2 w/ msgplus 3 (nice interface, has a lot of features which miranda lacks)

Irc client: Opera 7.5 (I dont use irc much)

Movie player: Media player classic (not bloated, takes little resources, plain and simple)

FTP: SmartFTP (haven't bothered to check out any alternatives)

p2p: kazaalite (ability to disable uploading, easy to use)

IRC: mIRC(fast transfers, easy to use,for me at least)

Movie Player: Video Lan(AWESOME QUALITY)

FTP: FlashFXP(bloody fast)

mIRC : You do realise that it depends on whoever sends it to you and not IRC itself.

VideoLAN : You do realise that it depends on how the video was encoded and VideoLan has nothing to do with the quality. Media Player Classic could have the same quality considering its the same video file.

FlashFXP : You do realise that it depends on the server you're connected to ? SmartFTP would be just as fast considering its the same server.

As for me,

Browser : FireFox (fast page rendering. simple. not bloated)

IM : MSN 6.2 (got used to it and that's what mostly everyone use)

FTP : FlashFXP (ease of use. FXP support. Clean interface)

FTP Server : BPFTP server (ease of use and to configure)

AntiVirus : Symantec Anti-virus Corporate 9 (clean interface. fast loading)

Audio Player : WinAMP (loads fast. easy to use interface)

Video Player : Media Player Classic w/ ffdshow (easy to use. very fast loading. just the best)

P2P : KaZaa and eMule (depending on what I want)

IRC : mIRC -- NoNameScript (ease of use. that's where alot of things are)

Email : Eudora (if I would have a pop3 account)

CD-Burning : Burnatonce (very clean interface. minimalist)

Archiver/UnArchiver : WinRAR (ease of use. supports all format I need)

Music

Listening: Foobar. Easily switch between multiple playlists, I have keyboard shortcuts mapped out to my preferences (Hold CTRL and Shift + 1-6 for volume toggles, CTRL and Shift + - or = to switch playlists, up down left and right arrows let you go forward and back a song or forward and back 10 seconds in the current song, CTRL and Shift + ~ makes foobar show/hide, ctrl and shift + spacebar pauses/unpauses). Easy plug-in use, works for surround sound on my 5.1 setup effortlessly, decent equalizer, nice opacity settings, highly configurable in every way, low resource usage.

Ripping: CDex. Perfect rips all the time, CDDB makes ripping even easier, tells you the error amount which is convenient and so on.

Burning: Nero. Nice and comprehensive, easy to use.

Graphics

Creation: Photoshop 7. Only reason I see to go to CS is for keyboard shortcuts, so I'm content with 7. Great program.

Viewing: Windows Picture and Fax viewer works great for me.

VS: Photoshop and Stylebuilder.

Internet

Bittorrent: Azureus. Only 3rd party BT client I've tried and it works great. Interface is similar to programs like Kazaa and Soulseek rather than individual windows like BT default.

Soulseek: Superb for downloading full albums.

Firefox: My favorite browser. Fast and highly configurable, works how I want it to.

Trillian Pro: Easily my favorite messnger. Use the Quicksilver theme ever since I discovered the program. Logging, renaming contacts to their actual names...so many things I love about this. I can't stand the interface of aim compared to this or the interface of Gaim which reminds me of aim too much, and miranda I just didn't like at all.

Other

Ultramon: Gives me second moniter a taskbar, yay :)

Reshacker: Great for modifying system files or creating Shell32's.

Bootskin: Easy to use no hassle boot screen changing program.

WMP8: Easy to use video player that's always satisfied my needs.
