Weird spam? Worm? Something else?

Recommended Posts

Ok, I'm getting ALOT of spam in my email these days, I don't really mind since outlook's spam thing catches most of it, but now I'm getting returned messages that I never sent, originally to people I don't know. Now usually the first thing I'd think is that I have one of those virus/worm things that sends itself to people on my address book but none of the messages are infected with anything, the people I "sent" them to are people I don't know and never have known and the content of the email is the same as the content of most of my spam. You know those add inches to your penis spam emails. *sigh* So i've ran some software antivirus programs and some online ones, I'm clean. So whats the deal? Here is a sample of what I'm talking about.

Someone with you in their addressbook probably got infected with a spam virus, and now its sending out e-mails with spoofed From: lines indicating you sent the message.

i get these sorta spoofed mails frequently...some come with attachments and some dont...

although i do get some with hyperlinks probably for phishing or hijack purposes.

 I hate when people write software that tries to sound human  It never works  and it sounds annoying

Looks to me like someone spoofed the address and yours was used. Ignore it.
