The ironic thing is, Diet Coke has no carbs *and* no sugar...so technically it's healthier than C2.

Yeah yeah, some people drink Diet Coke for the taste of aspartame...

i know, i figured they would use splenda or something... but i guess 1/2 the colories is not bad for people who don't like diet drinks

Edit: Also, exercising daily can't always help a person based on their metabolism.  For instance, if a person has a high metabolism rate and still workouts everyday or so, they will still gain weight because of their metabolism.  The Atkins diet is just another helper in the process of losing weight.

Uh last time I checked first of all if they had a high metabolism then they most likely would not be overweight because his or her body would have consumed all of the energy from the food and wouldn't have a need to store it. On the flip side of that when somebody has a slow metabolism then his or her body does use all of the food/food energy that they have eaten and stores it in the form of fat.

Also a persons metabolic rate CAN be increased, in fact that's what excercise and working out do, they increase your metabolic rate so your body consumes more energy and with a proper diet in conjunction then your body will use up all of the energy that has been stored in your body as fat.

BTW it is NOT metabolism rate it is either Metabolism or Metabolic Rate! sorry it just had to be said.

what a troll... read up on food labels or any major study of the atkins diet before you go on a idiotic rant with no knowledge of what you are talking about

'only people who bash low calorie/carb/fat/dieters are fatasses themselves who failed at their own personal weigh'

The atkins diet is bad for you.... Thats all. Yes you will lose weight on it, but it also is bad for organs in your body....

And just because you dont diet doesnt make you a fatass....

Diets are bad for you in general unloess you plan on changing your lifestyle instead of some little diet, because once you start eating normal again you are just going to yo-yo and hurt yourself more.

I have cut down on ****ty foods and that worked, but i also had to do assloads of excersize.

Wow, just drink water or Orange Juice or something with the slightest nutrinional value to your body. I don't see how people can drink pop so much, personally I can't stand more than a can a week, it's kind of disgusting.

I don't believe in dieting. From my personal observations with my mom and other people I know, it just gives people something to feel like they're doing themselves good, when they'll sneak in chocolate and stuff here and there and tell themselves they'll go jogging the next day to balance it out and never do.

Don't eat less food, just eat food that is actually worth putting in your body. If you live off little saturated balls of fat like Reese Pieces and drink pop all day, then you're screwing yourself over. Instead, stick to water and orange juice, carrots, meats etc, stuff with nutritional value. You don't have to eat certain amount of calories or anything, just stick to real foods and drink nothing but water, just for a week...you'll feel a difference.

show me an actual real scientific study where it has proven to be detrimental to your health, or "bad for organs in your body" as you put it, then give me a call please... till then you are claim is opinion...

again, if you do aktins correctly, you DO exercise, you DO eat cabrohydrates, and you DO count callories... don't rant about things you don't know about

Quoted for emphasis. You've never tried it, don't cry about it.

EFF this stupid carb cutting crap! i saw meat marinade that had reduced carbs in the grocery store... yeah, cause apparently too many carbs were sneaking into my meat with the flavor that was soaking in... this is rediculous...people just need to get off their asses and work out if they wanna lose weight, not go against everything nutritional science has been telling us for at least half a century

You dont get it. a year ago I weighed 260. I tried everything to lose weight. Cutting down calories, jogging, exercising, eating two meals a day etc.

Nothing worked for me except the atkins diet. I now weigh 190. I now go work out and jog every day.

Who needs excercise? :p

As long as you eat healthy, you'll stay at a decent weight. I hardly ever do any real strenuos work, and I'm pretty happy with the way I look. I mean, my body isn't muscular or anything, but what the hell? Carbs add to fat if your metabolism is low; even if you don't have a large carb intake, you still aren't going to be "hot" material unless you work on it through excercise.

The irony of most of the medical profession and dietary world is that they seem to be the worst abusers. Notice how many doctors smoke? Notice how many nurses smoke? Notice the number of doctors that have terrible breath? How about the astronomical amount of doctors that are treated for drug \ substance abuse. What about the Atkins guy dieing of a heart attack?

What ever happened to practice what you preach, or maybe Atkins was and eating all the meat just got to him.

Exercise, eat 4 - 5 small portion (anything relatively healthy) meals a day, and did I say exercise???

sure docters and nurses smoke, but do you have any facts to prove its above the statistical averages? and how is bad breath unhealthy:whistle::

and for the record Dr. Atkins died after being in a coma caused by a head injury he suffered from slipping on ice... don't know where you got that lie

your proof was on MSN's frontpage all day today.. read the news before you claim to be an expert... there is a reason it is called a BALANCED diet

    • Nice, hope they *finally* fixed the issue with the NTFS driver where the system would completely brick during large file copies using the built in driver. It's been broken for years requiring me to use the older, slower, NTFS-3G FUSE driver.
    • Windows 11 KB5094126 BSODing, freezing, forcing BitLocker lockout, breaks OneDrive, and more by Sayan Sen Microsoft released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 last week as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. While Microsoft has so far not acknowledged any major problems with the release, some users online are running into problems. These range from OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. The most common one seems to be happening with HP systems wherein affected users say they hit 0xc0430001 BSOD (blue screen of death) error code after the KB5094126 update. We wonder if this could be related to the recent bug we covered on HP devices wherein the ongoing Secure Boot certificate updates are leading to similar issues. While we are not certain, users affected by this issue likely need to ensure that the boot.stl file is included on the installation media (such as a USB installer or ISO), if the above-mentioned dynamic updates are deployed. If this file is missing, computers may fail to boot from the installation media and could display the error 0xc0430001. This STL file is used by Secure Boot to verify that the boot files are trusted, so it must match the same Windows version and system architecture. To ensure the file is included, Microsoft recommends using the Update WinPE script, which automatically updates the image and handles the required files. Alternatively, you can manually copy the boot.stl file from the Windows\Boot\EFI folder on a Windows device and place it in the matching folder on your installation media before deploying the updated image. Aside from blue screening some users also note their systems have been freezing following the update. This could be happening to Lenovo PCs specifically. In the case of the OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, a user figured out that there could be a conflict with UAC. He explained: "Okay, so I did some digging, and in our environment KB5094126 breaks OneDrive and Dropbox in Explorer. I went through all our GPOs and found out that the combination of disabling UAC and having my user being a local admin breaks OneDrive in Explorer. ... If I enable UAC again, then it works, even with KB5094126 still installed." Hopefully, Microsoft will look into these issues. • It is when it's a desktop in my house though for a PC that's lightly used and not really important when it is. If it was a laptop, it would be a different story. The real solution is varied and begins starting at post #22 in that thread.
