awesome update dawxxx666... are you able to tell me what i would need to put in the code to allow me to click the album cover, and see the back cover like jclim's new config.

Firs of all you need Album Art Panel. Then right click on cover->preferences and set in "behaviour"

Left click function - Next source

Instead of this you have to put some sources e.g.

i think there is an easier way to do this.. in jclim00's config he has this in his code:

// PerTrack

$select($eval($getpvar(art) + 1),
//	album art mode
	$if($fileexists($get(coverPath)),
		$imageabs2(250,250,,,,,2,2,$get(coverPath),nokeepaspect)
		$imageabs2(250,250,,,250,78,2,260,$get(coverPath),rotateflip-6 nokeepaspect)
		,
		$imageabs2(250,250,,,,,2,2,images\imagenocover.png,nokeepaspect)
		$imageabs2(250,250,,,250,78,2,260,images\imagenocover.png,rotateflip-6 nokeepaspect)
	)
	$button(0,2,0,0,250,250,,,PVAR:SET:art:1,)
	,
//	artist art mode
	$if($fileexists($get(artistPath)),
		$imageabs2(250,250,,,,,2,2,$get(artistPath),nokeepaspect)
		$imageabs2(250,250,,,250,78,2,260,$get(artistPath),rotateflip-6 nokeepaspect)

	)
	$button(0,2,0,0,250,250,,,PVAR:SET:art:0,)
)

and then this under globals

$puts(coverPath,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,folder.*))
$puts(artistPath,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,back.*))

I like new way - with album art panel, not only images, but maybe I'll add switcher so you can choose between album art panel and somethink like jclim00's config.

That looks so sexy dawxxx666. Can't wait for the release.

I have some problems with Hydrogenaudio.org :pinch: so see this:

Download my new foo on deviantArt

i just noticed a problem with your new config dawxxx666... i'm not sure if anyone else experiences this, but i'm using vista ultimate, all my components are up to date using the links you provided, and my cpu usage for foobar is around 40-50 when using your new config.. as apposed to about 2-5% when using any other config. You can notice it in the spectrum it only updates every other second, as well as when you move the window around, it's a bit laggy.. i'm not sure what the problem is.

when idle it's fine. but playing any song and it lags.

I think that the reason is: PanelsUI 0.13.6. Sometimes I have the same problem. We have to wait for new version of this component.

Hey, dawxxx666 I updated to your latest build just now

I'm having a problem with the Album Art. It's just blank, however the reflection part shows.

I tried looking through the code, but couldn't find the code where you insert the album art like before. I name my files Album Art.jpg instead of the traditional cover.jpg or folder.jpg

I guess this is why it doesn't work? Could you help me fix my problem? :D

keep in mind i don't know coding at all but if you put

$puts(coverPath,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,*.jpg))

in your globals.. by going to pref>panelsui> click globals button... that should work.

I went to the global section and saw that line there. :p Thanks for trying tho. Your syntax was right too :)

Anyway, I fixed it by copying and pasting the code from dawxxx666's previous config

$imageabs2($sub(%_width%,30),$sub(%_width%,30),,,,,15,15,$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,Album Art.jpg),NOKEEPASPECT)

$imageabs2($sub(%_width%,30),$sub(%_width%,30),,,,,15,15,images\pure3\reflet300.png,alpha-120NOKEEPASPECT)

Top one is for the album art, bottom is for the reflection picture

My Foobar, simple and very elegant yet easy to use and navigate. I won't change it for a long time though I need to settle a few album art issues :p . Most of it was from my ideas though Apul helped quite a bit with the track display.

Scirwode

can you release that? I don't like the styles that are centered around album art.

:)

tooleJrawr04-1.1 "Finally a proper release"

I changed quite a bit in this patch, consider it the proper release whereas the other one was just a test.

The idea of this foobar was one that was pretty, fairly specific to my theme, but above all else, useable and obvious - it is designed so you do not have to click around for ages to do simple things. It is also configureable as you wish, you can choose from a multitude of options as to what things to have shown and hidden and where.

It may look odd on other visual styles.

Requirements

- PanelsUI 13

- foo_cwb_hooks

- Browser Panel

- Album List Panel

- Quicksearch Toolbar

- ColumnsUI

- Playcount Official

Your config keeps getting better & better dawxxx666.

Questions:

A) How to get rid of the double "exit/min/max" taskbar. Preferably the very top one.

B) Getting rid of the track bar on the track text.

If you can help, it'll be very appreciated.

    • Still 3x what it should cost. So, it seems the trick is to increase price by 6x so that a reduction in price back to 4x looks like a steal. "You savvy shoppers win again!" I'm glad I'm not in a desperate spot to actually even need this overpriced crap. Hopefully, it comes back down by the time for when (or if) I ever do.

    • Microsoft wants to end printer driver headaches with Windows Ready Print by Usama Jawad A few days ago, Microsoft released Windows 11 Experimental build 26300.8553, bringing a ton of enhancements such as Start menu customization, search improvements, Taskbar polish, and other minor UI tweaks. Another relatively major enhancement snuck deep within the change log was related to upgrades to the Windows printing experience. Now, Microsoft has shared more details about these benefits. For starters, Microsoft has renamed its Modern Print Platform to Windows Ready Print. The company believes that this name highlights its shift in strategy, which now focuses on modernizing, securing, and streamlining the printing experience for Windows devices. Some of the upgrades present in Windows Ready Print have already been seeded to customers and partners. This includes ending support for third-party printer drivers via Windows Update and transitioning towards the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) and the native Windows IPP printer driver. In line with these changes, new printer installations will default to Windows Ready Print on eligible devices starting from July 2026. However, Microsoft recognizes that not all environments will be able to migrate to this platform immediately, so it will allow users to choose between installing the printer via Windows Ready Print or the traditional OEM process. Users will be able to toggle this configuration through Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners > Printer preferences. This control applies only to new printer installations, and its functionality can also be modified via Group Policy as follows: Launch Group Policy Editor Navigate to Local Computer Policy -> Administrative Templates -> Printers Find and select 'Configure Windows Ready Print driver ranking' -> double click to open it Select 'Enabled' (if you wish to enable Windows Ready Print driver selection) or 'Disabled' (if you wish to explicitly disable Windows Ready Print driver selection). Select Apply Select OK Similarly, if you set up Windows protected print mode through the same setting in Windows 11, it will also default to using Windows Ready Print exclusively. Microsoft hopes that these improvements will help eradicate dependency on OEM-specific driver installation processes and simplify printer installations. We'll likely find out more about other tangible benefits in the coming months.
