how none of you mentioned classix by gigatexel is baffling to me.

2nd post of the thread ... nice one :p

Old Reluna is by far miles ahead of any other theme in terms of visual excellence and just plain easy to use for long periods of time. It flows well and has an amazing design. The latest version Bant did ruined it in my opinion. So, I found the old version and am sticking with it. As far as I know, not even Bant has it, so sorry for no link.

This thread was created before Ashen was introduced to the world of Neowin. You really ought to consider adding it to the list... There are two sets, 'Into the Frozen Tundra' and 'The Fall of an Empire', specifically the former.

Obviously, my favorite msstyle is 'Ashen, Into the Frozen Tundra' by gigatexel.

I don't know how you guys can barely even look at the post-modern like ones. While they're undoubtedly works of art, aren't they a little bit too bright? If there were darker shades available, I wouldn't mind trying out pop/post-modern.

I would really like darker versions as well with active/inactive taskbar states more like 8207... but they're great as is.

Speaking of which, 8207 is also a great visual style. :p

,Jun 24 2004, 06:11]to be honest, there is no theme to date that raises the bar as much as c10k by giga, bant and me once did

Any link to this Visual style? As i only have c10k2, which i believe is an updated classix.

I have heard the original was supposed to be excellent. Just cant find it anywhere.

True *cough* ego *cough* :p

I agree with you. Mac ports are all the same, except they may change the color of buttons, or the color of a toolbar, I cant tell them apart. The linux ports are definetely awesome pieces of work, as is HmmXP. I dont think i;ve found a theme like it that has been so usable for so long.
