Hey ZTrang, do I get bumped to the top of the list for making this bumper sticker?

http://www.pixelaffinity.com/images/kerry2004.jpg

:p That's a very nice bumper sticker, but no; otherwise I'd have hundreds of people making anti-Kerry paraphernalia, and as funny as that would be, it wouldn't be fair. Just wait your turn, and we'll get to you ;)

The latest invite list. Note that since I can't edit my posts forever, I'll have to keep making new posts with the updated lists; so, know that the "next up" link on the first page won't always be up-to-date. We'll do our best to continue updating the link so that donors can quickly donate their invites.

I wrote a small web application that would make the queue a lot clearer... Though I don't have a place to host it.

All I need is very little space, php support and a mysql database.

If anyone wants to host it, be sure to send a PM my way ;)

EDIT: looks something like this: http://66.74.201.59/list.php

go easy on it though, it's my home cable connection.

Will YOU be the one to add 47 pages worth of names to the list?

Since I don't want to go through all 18+ 40 posts-per-page pages to see if this has been mentioned (although I did see a few comments saying basically the same thing), I just thought I'd drop a little note here about the rules. The 5 month member is great, but the bit about 300 or more posts (of course this would since I haven't reached that yet) is what I personally think is a little sad. Just because someone doesn't post every day, or every week for that matter (this is probably my first post in months), that shouldn't exclude them. I've yet to reach 200 posts let alone 300, but I've been here for over two years. I visit Neowin on average 4 times per day, every day, but because I don't post a lot it excludes me from this? Not that I want in or anything, or that I would refuse an invite if given, I'm just expressing my views on how the post limit rule is unfair for those members like myself prefer to lurk rather than post. Now if it was by seniority I would have nothing to complain about, even if there were 2000 people ahead of me, as it wouldn't mean I'd have to post in topics that a) questions have been answered, b) my opinion would cause a flamewar, c) just to add another comment praising something when 200 other people have, and I could go on. Besides, it isn't all about the number of posts, but the quality of posts. Isn't it? That's just my two cents.

    • Salesforce to acquire Fin, formerly Intercom, for over $3 billion by David Uzondu Image via DepositPhotos.com Salesforce today announced that it has reached an agreement with customer support software company Fin to buy the company for around $3.6 billion. Salesforce expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2027, and the acquisition will not change its financial guidance previously announced on May 27. Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, in its press release, claimed that acquiring the startup gives Salesforce an immediate AI agent that resolves support tickets across email, WhatsApp, SMS, and Slack: You might know Fin by its former name, Intercom. If you have ever been on a website or inside a mobile app and noticed a little chat bubble widget floating in the bottom right corner of your screen, often featuring a friendly face and a message like, "Hi! How can we help you today?" you were almost certainly looking at Intercom. Intercom became Fin just last month, transforming itself into an "AI-first" platform that handles customer issues with little need for humans to intervene. The new name originates from the company's highly successful AI customer service agent, which it launched way back in 2023. This digital assistant supposedly resolves about 76% of customer service volume end-to-end on its own, so the business rebranded to match its primary software tool. Fin's new owners, Salesforce, went on an acquisition spree over the last few years, and some of them you might recognize, like its 2020 $27.7 Billion acquisition of Slack. The last few months saw the enterprise giant buy several startups, including m3ter, Momentum, Cimulate, and Contentful. Salesforce said that when the Fin deal pulls through, customers will "deploy AI agents across" various service operations, which will complement Agentforce, the platform that enables businesses to deploy customizable autonomous digital workers.
