it is stuck at 1.60 mb on windows update...

what the hell after about 10 minutes it started wotrking again but the size changed.. on windows update it reports this: 2.20 mb of 77.60 MB..

I thought it was 100 megs?? uhmm.. should I even continue downloading lol..

mine was 115 even though it said 100 on update....and after I restarted it repaired msn messenger for some reason...anyone else get that?

well i guess it was scanning to see what we needed.. I installed all previous updates before going.. perhaps that is why my package is smaller??? :pinch: I hope.. would be a waste of a whole 20 minutes haha :rofl:

Btw does sp2 contain all fixes,etc that are in sp1, so that theres no need to install sp1, then 2. I take it, it does.

It's the same as creating an SP1 slipstreamed CD. There's plenty of guides for that.

I installed sp2 rc2 and when my computer rebooted it had a diff boot screen. The bar was blue and it didnt say windows xp home just windows xp. I got it from windows update.

the only bug ive found besides the boot screen. Is that when i try going into network connections it says file/link not found. I cant get into it by clicking on the lan icon either

i just updated through windows update and sp2 rc2 installed sucessfully over rc1.. boot screen looks great, new build shows up correctly.. everything runs fine..

Did your download fail or just appear to hang up? Mine appeared to hang at 1.6 mb but I think that it downloaded 1.6 mb of stuff and then did some analysis of my system. When it resumed downloading after a few minutes the size of the download dropped from 100 mb to 95.8 mb.
