MSN No Audio

When someone starts or i send a Audio invertation and They or I accept it trys and connects and then says it eneded. Its done it with everyone on my list.

I can record sound with webcam microphone & playback fine, but in MSN it wont connect.

I have a Audigy 2 ZS and a Logitech QuickCam..

Any idea's?

I assume you mean MSN Messenger, Anyway, Go into Tools->Options, Goto the Connection Tab

At the bottom where it says 'Advanced Connection Information' Does it say

'You are connected to the Internet through a non-UPnP IP restricted NAT.'

OR does it say

'You are connected to the Internet through a UPnP IP restricted NAT.'

Non-UPnP is bad, if it says that you'll need to configure UPnP in your router or firewall

Nope, its says im connected directly.

If i turn off ZA it works ok. What does MSN Messenger Audio Use?

It uses a dynamically assigned port, basically something you can't count on. Does ZoneAlarm support UPnP? If not, you'll have to ditch it and use something else.

i've had that same problem for ages ...... so i use kerio when im on msn messenger ;)

YOu need to open port 5000. Audio requires the UPnP port.

You are in custom settings for internet zone security, at least you got that far. Scroll down until you see "allow incoming UDP ports" and enter 5000. Do the same for "allow incoming TCP ports".

Did that, still doesnt work. Ticked The Top 2. So i noew have ticked 3 from the top in both Internet & trusted. Still doesnt work.

First make sure it looks like the attached pic. See if it works after you restart your computer. Are you behind a router?
