Fred Durst talks back to Avril

Recommended Posts

I sometimes hate the fact that I like limp bizkit's music, even though I, like many others, see mr. durst's true stupidity. If you look close enough at him you'll find he's one of the biggest ###### that has ever become successful. I'd say I hate the band, but unfortunately I like their music, which ****es me off

,Jun 27 2004, 06:48] not the same, borland actually was tired of durst attitude towards everything and in some level he is right, durst sometimes thinks he is a musical genious

i thought he was sick of that AND the fact that when Chocolate Starfish came out, it was more RAP than rock...meaning, borland wasnt playing his guitar as much as he used to, it was just fred rapping with other rappers on sampled songs...i figured that was the meain reason he left...sick of the bull**** and he wanted to play more and put more of HIS style, rather than freds...

also i watched a video about lb with the new guitarist (mike), and it pretty much was this:

Fred: "Dude i have this idea in my head but i dont know how to play it"

mike: "sing it"

fred sings

mike: "ok now we have a song"

fred: "ill start doing lyrics"

to me, limpbizkit is more like The Fred Durst Project

wow, that song production method surely sounds like a winner

I for one still have some respect for him. If it wasn't for him and his band and their music than my friend's life wouldn't have been saved. So I say they had a strong postive influence on someone. And yes, some intelligence was found if they had an impact on someone's life.

His remake of Behind Blue Eyes was really great. They say he hooked up with Hally Berry too, right about the time she filed for legal separation from her husband. That guy gets to bone all the chicks. Britney, Hally Berry, and a bunch more. Lavigne said he tried to put the make on her and she didn't feel comfortable about it and the fact that he just "expected it" from her. Rumor was that she wrote that song "Give it up to you" about that experience, where Durst tried to get her into bed and she was like "not gonna happen".

You can't blame Durst for trying. She is pretty hot looking in some pics. Besides, maybe he likes a challenge.

I don't mean to fight or anything. I was just wondering. I see you in the music threads alot. Its cool.

What do you think of Mudvayne?

Used to like them, not anymore, I respect them, thats all

You didn't like the lastest CD? Not Fallin? I like it better than the first. Don't know why.

It was catchy, thats all, for me music is something serious, so serious that I need to find a certain level of maturity in each album, musical or lyrical, to fullfill my needs, lyricaly the new mudvayne was great, but musically, it was just the old same formula

I never found Borland to be all that good to begin with. As far as i'm concerned he's better at doing his makeup than he is at playing guitar.

thats the same think I tho about Jeordie White (ex Marilyn Manson bassist, formerly known as Twiggy Ramirez) but now I consider him as one of the best bassist in todays music

Why are you posting in a thread when you have nothing good to say?

See, it works both ways.

Funny how you just rubbed it off, fanboy. Clearly what I said might actually make you stop to think why we are quoting everything these idiots say. I suppose that's entertainment to you.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
