nuka_t Posted July 6, 2004 Share Posted July 6, 2004 i just bought a wireless G router and am posting from it right now(wired thernet connect). we bought it because my moms work lappy has a G card in it and she likes to work from home and connect to here office network from here. i can access the router from the laptop (going to 192.blablabla) but i cant access websites, although they work fine from this pc. i also cant connect using her VPN software so i cant get on the work network. it worked fine on the wired router, but not on wireless. also, we bought this in a rush at 140 dollars, however, we can probably get the router cheaper elsewhere. they claim however that the speed of this is 3 times regular G. (dling extremeG) and it came with a pcmcia extrenal card. im just using the integrated wifi now. is it worth the trouble installing the extremeG card to get these extra speeds?
