Complete Website Design

Hi,

I need to re-design my PPC Search Engine - SearchXS.com. I am willing to pay a few $$$ for it.

Title: SearchXS.com (XS to more info, more money)

How I want it to be: I want it to look corporate, just too professional. Not flashy, spooky images and fonts..

Examples: I like a few designs, I want my website to look like (or better than) one of these:

- http://www.rackspace.com (All pages)

- http://www.overture.com (Main page and search page)

- http://www.enhance.com (Search page looks too good, I want it the same way)

- http://www.espotting.com (all pages look good, simple and fast to load)

Difficulties: The script I use is SourceGuardian Decoded, so I cant edit a thing. You must be good at PHP or you must be good at html coz I had to add/remove a lot of br, tr, td tags for the search results to be displayed correctly on search page otherwise it went to the bottom, top and odd places..

Time: I need it soon, as soon as possible

Payment: I'll be able to pay $150+

J2000_ca: Yes, it isnt image heavy at all, only a few images and most are colors.

i'd be glad to attempt it later ... i'm much better at flash than i am with pure design but i'll be back later and try some more. you can post some suggestions for the flash if you want

just visit overture.com, they've a cool flash on the main page..looks awesome.

Umm..yes it fits in right, but doesnt look too good. However, Placing an ad is a good idea yes. But a 486x60 banner would be too small to fit in there. too much space would be lfet blank still...

and tou could change the "ad" label on the ad for "partner" or "featured partner" (somthing like that so it will look more professionnal)

Not really, Placing Ad there isnt a good idea b'coz I wont put a 486x60 banner there and I'll place TextAds there. I'd have to pull XML results fro other engines that woudl take time for the page to load.

This is just me, but i think it would be a good idea (since your an advertising type search engine, Right?) to rotate a series of ads from the people that payed to advertise on your site.

You get what i mean?

I think he should rotate some adds, but not banners cause banners really sucks.. he should find a place to rotate some adds with texts maybe small images, cause that kind of banner really sux

Yeah, Rotating Ads or Customer Quotes is a good Idea, But Ihavent managed to get a customer quote yet. And I dont have enough advertisers than affiliates. and affiliates/partners quotes arent necessary at all..

I'd put some techy image there , 5 to 6 images which rotate!

You could post the most recent searches, kinda like google does on (i think it Froogle) and Ask.com.

Its interesting to see what other people have searched for! :)

Hmm...but the Alternative Search and Tep Searches will be displayed on Search Page. Should it be on the main page as well.? umm..

i think it would be best of left as it is, it just needs a little touching up thats all.

remember you are a search site, users have to be familiar with your layout and design.

also your redesign is nice, but not as good as your first. maybe go for different colour themes,

if all else fails and you still want to change it, i suggest you go to www.templatemonster.com

Nah. Not at all. Template monster is CRAP. I've almost All templates, but I never use em, I prefer a custom made template than a TM
