OK people, 1.0.30b3 is now up.

Attention:

This is still a BETA release, which means it can burn your computer, eat your food, kill your pets, steal your girlfriend and even kick you in the head. You have been warned.

Changes:

- Since only one bootloader is needed, the rest have been dumped...

- The old listbox was dumped since...

- ...the new checklist was prefered...

- The progressbar will also be kept...

- ...but with a true XP-style...

- God-mode (no service pack build detection, for those you know what they are doing and want to do things fast...) [use /godmode]

AutoStreamer 1.0.30b3

Hi, nw_raptor!

I really like your tool (Y), there is just one thing. I like to create custom CD's with additional files, altered files (for unattended installations for instance), specific datestamps on the folders and other changes.

At the moment, after integrating the SP, Autostreamer immediately starts creating the ISO-image therefore making it impossible to edit the end-product before burning. Would it be possible to create a button to start the image-creation or a specific step-by-step option? Then I would be able to edit the slipstreamed folder while Autostreamer waits for me to press the button.

Thanks :)

maybe a checkbox to continue to ISO creation only after user input (meaning, AutoStreamer would do the slipstreaming, and stop. Then the user would have to click a button to continue with ISO creation)

I have tried this fantastic software, at least it seam to be fantastic. But I cant get it to work propertly. Is it because I have Swedish version av Win XP or what can the problem be?

When the program detects my CD-drive and the XP-disc in it, it says, Operation System: Unkown, Bulid Unkown and Size: 522 Mb. The "next-button" is not active.

Help please

AutoStreamer does work with all languages (a guy here reported it worked fine with Swedish XP!).

As i have mentioned before, AutoStreamer will not work with All-In-One CDs... AutoStreamer expects a normal windows cd, with a SETUP.EXE on the cd root, and ntoskrnl.ex_ in \i386 subfolder. If it doesnt, it means its prolly an AIO cd so it doesnt continue...

Hello,

I get a run time error '70' at the end of the proces, it says: Permission Denied..

So for me the program up till now doesn't work as expected.

What to do, or am I doing something wrong which hardly can be the case as the program does it all by itself...

Horsepower

1.0.30b4 is available now, and if everything goes as expected, final should be out any time now...

Changes:

- Allow manual customization (pauses procedure before ISO creation)

- Allow no Service Pack selection (just creates the ISO)

Hi,

This is my first post on this great forum.I am very proud to be new member with hope to learn a lot from all of you.

Sorry to start with a question.Try to slipstream using AutoStraem programm ,insert my Windows XP CD, pointed to Service Pack Files in my C:\Windows\Sevice Pack Files,-(i386), get two green signes on Windows CD Drive and Temporary files, but on Sevice Pack folder-nothing.I point my browser to a/m folder click on "Open" -all files are displayed and that's all.Programm doesn't star work.

Try latest version of AutoStream and also the first one, but alwais with same results.

Please advice me what I am doing wrong and how to make program to work and to create ISO file.

Thanks,

- Welcome to Neowin :D

If I understand your question right, you need to point to the complete packaged service pack file (ex. WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe) if you are using XP and want to slipstream SP2; not to the folder that contains the uncompressed files.

    • Got it. Seem like a good improvement. Thanks. But, before we "Add the source to Trusted Sites," how would know if it is trusted or not? Could get messy for not first Knowing" it is clean. See what I mean?
