read through this thread. I have explained it at least 3 times.

well im alittle dizzy, just read every single post in this thread.... 2am

2am and on.... goodwork, i found my first post on 12-14 i believe when i asked does my P4 work with it

-ill stay a fan till i find a way to help otherwise ill just support your builds

I'm going to download and install one of your builds tonight, so watch this space for some feedback :)

P.S. Does it support all current 1.0+ extensions? (AdBlock, Spoofstick, DownThemAll, Spiderzilla) and the themes (Noia 2.0...)?

yep it should support everything the regular 1.0+ builds do.

:( Ahh that sucks!

no kidding it went down a little after midnight. I had nothing to do, at all and I wasn't sleepy. I cracked open MAME and played some old school NBA Jam though lol.

Might as well give the build machina couple days rest as the tree is frozen for 1.8beta.. not many checkins in sight :)

actually thats a good idea. My main drive is not doing well right now and I don't have more money to spend immediately so any rest is good rest. I plan on getting a new system in a month or two in hopes of thwarting any possible further problems caused by the abuse from building.

bangbang, wouldn't it be a better idea to edit your origional post, to make this thread a little cleaner instead of typing each date? it might fall into the pit of nothing, but its always in your signature :)

even tho post count is locked, it would help for other people to see other messages. i set my posts per page to 40? and its up to 15 pages now!

bangbang: could you do a build with the new options UI. It's a .diff file. I really don't know if that is all that is needed to land the code though.

I would but i can not get the patch command working anymore. I don't know what the hell is wrong but it literally just does nothing what so ever

not trying to second guess you, especially since I have no clue how to build myself...but I seen this in a thread the other day

First, check out the entire source code tree from CVS, then drop the patch in there, and run patch -p0 < 274712-ui-zip.diff, and then compile Firefox.

I know how to patch fine, but I get an error log which reads:

Error: Tue Feb 15 00:27:14 2005 P[256] T[2184]

AuPatch fetch (common:action) failed.

Info: Tue Feb 15 00:27:14 2005 P[256] T[2184]

writeResult: start.

Info: Tue Feb 15 00:27:14 2005 P[256] T[2184]

writeResult: done.

This file is created in a -p0/AU_Log folder

    • It's nearly time to replace my aging Founders Edition 3080, it doesn't OC as nicely as it used to and it's running around 10c warmer than it did when I first bought it.  I don't have budget for much more than what I spent on the 3080 and locally, that means the best GPU I can manage is a 9070XT. On this basis I have a few questions: 1. At present I don't use ray tracing, if this was to change, would this GPU be an issue? 2. How does it compare on a performance basis? 3. Are the drivers worse or better than those for nVidia? 4. Linux support, is it there? 5. Anything else I should be aware of if I were to make this change? 6. Is it a good idea or shall I try and keep the 3080 a little longer.
    • What OS is that? It looks a bit like Mac OS but the command line suggests it isn't, either way I like it!
    • Outlook classic is inherently better than new outlook, for a number of reasons. That said, if the only reason people need office is to read email, they should just use thunderbird.
    • Windows 11 is a big thumbs down from me. I used for a period of a few days while it was in insider and windows 10 was the main OS, and realised it wasn't for me. I am still waiting for Windows to be tolerable again, a shame as at one point I was very pro Microsoft.
    • Classic outlook, not only does it have a much fuller feature set, it doesn't include Microsoft attempting to sync my emails from my servers to theirs. If classic outlook is ever removed from office, and the version I paid for in 2021 stops working for some reason, I'll use Thunderbird.
