wow, i too had doubts when Long first introed his design that it'd actually go through.

definately awesome job Toxikk and Long. you've both come through time and time again, like many of the hard workers here at Neowin. this is only a first step to a better neowin. i can't wait for all that's to come.

Good question. Who is this "Long" character :dontgetit:

Anyway, I first proposed a new design in this topic: https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=170316

But heck, you have to thank Toxikk. Without him, this wouldn't have been possible at this time. He's put a lot of time in to work on this project and he hasn't been credited as much as he should have been. His code is incredible I must say, this design would have not worked without his code.

Three cheers for Toxikk :)

He started the entire theme revolution. He is a king among men  (Or is Toxikk )

haha, it'd be pretty sad if toxikk coded the whole main page for nothing.

i'm sure he's talked it over with neobond and/or redmak about using this theme.

even in Long's thread, i think Neobond basically gave the okay for the theme to move ahead.

i'm not absolutely certain, but that's what i'm assuming.

my bad myyy baad sorry i was sorta skimming through stuff yesterday coz i was quite busy

thank you all. as i said in my first post. i am doing this for you. and for the sake of the site.

more details will be discussed and communicated to you all in due time. this was just to show you that there is indeed movement on this. besides, i would not of gotten admin approval and the proper access if the admins did not want this to happen...

as for my lady... i have promised her that while we are on our 2 week vacation that i would not login to a cpu once. i am going to try and live up to that promise. so i figure, get the hardwork done now and play for 2 weeks. that should make up for all the late/lonely nights ;)

The chat link was probably added while you were finalizing this theme, though.

I'm also eager to see how the vertical slide works for the "Software/Hardware/Gaming/Security/Favourites" menu. (Oh yeah... and be prepared for people to say "In America, it's spelled Favorites!", but whatever.)

However, I do have to say (as I always do), it's Brilliant!

Kudos to Long as well for the original inspiration (if I'm not mistaken). :)

    • Yes for me, I installed 'old calculator' (Windows 7 calculator) in its place since it is more useful to me. I think paint is the only one I left installed
