Why aren't we allowed to post a link to the development page? I didn't see it posted anywhere that we could not. Instead of just removing it without a word perhaps you could say something so it doesn't get posted again, unless you want to keep chasing after everyone that posts a link to your secret page.

I can't say that I like the dark top design, it just doesn't look like it belongs with the rest of the page.

Also I think the neowin logo would really need updating for this.. it looks bad when next to the 'glossy' top. Maybe it can blend in better, while being a little smaller and smoother.

Props to you guys (long, toxikk & redmak) for taking all this time to work on the new design, hope it gets finished soon :)

Also, yesterday was a big day for me over at Neowin. I posted my New Theme Preview Thread. So far, the response has been pretty positive. I only showed the gif of the theme because I did not want to kill the development server with all kinds of hits. Maybe I can get a beta program going and we can have a few lucky Neowinians help beta test the new ****. That would be cool!!1!

Anywhoo?

maybe that is the reason he didn't post the link

It's a pretty safe assumption that since a Mod/Admin HASN'T posted a link, it's not for actual public viewing. It's just common courtesy. If Toxikk wanted people looking at the real deal, he would have posted it right on the front page. As it stands right now, viewing the link will give you no more insight than what the preview picture does. The link to the dev site wasn't even supposed to be "in the wild".

So please be patient while the new design is being worked on. When those involved feel it's sufficient enough for people to use, it will be announced.

Nobody but staff were supposed to know about it in the first place.

But I'll make another general annoucement: Do not post links to the beta design. Anywhere.

    • Yes for me, I installed 'old calculator' (Windows 7 calculator) in its place since it is more useful to me. I think paint is the only one I left installed
