NTL == Blueyonder?

Recommended Posts

After reading the BTInternet thread and it's move to broadband discussion, I went to check NTL's availablity in the are that I will be moving to soon...

I always thought Blue Yonder was a direct competitor to NTL, moving in on the very poor broadband coverage of the UK - but when I entered my soon-to-be post code, it went off to blueyonder.co.uk to see if broadband is available. It failed with loads of java errors, but it still let out it's secret :)

Is NTL and BY the same company?? :o

No they are 2 different companies, but are activly working together to get britain cabled. If one comp can't cover you but the other can, they redirect etc etc ... they are advertising together etc etc .. trying really to shove one up BTopenworld (which I may say as a BY customer, they are doing rather well at) :)

OK...

I'm moving into an area that has cable by NTL - so could I signup with BY?

Also, although the cable is in the ground, NTL don't actually offer broadband connections (TV/phone are OK :mad: ) - would BY?

EDIT: Opps, silly double meaning about cable being down - changed :)
