chimpcheng
Hey all, I'm brand new here so forgive me if this is posted in the wrong place but I require help! I'm using windows XP home edition and I'm having trouble saving pictures off the internet. When I right click and bring up my options I chose 'Save Picture As...' I am only able to save the file as either a bmp or an art file and I have no other options. When I do so I am unable to open these pictures in any of the photo packages I have. Can anyone please help me? Thanks guys.
Si Veteran Posted July 24, 2004 Veteran Share Posted July 24, 2004 Clear your temporary internet files, it's an IE bug (Y)
chimpcheng
Okay it seems to be okay for bitmaps but when it comes to downloading JPEGS I still only get 2 options, i.e., to save as an art file or as a bitmap. What am I doing wrong?? :( It seems that my laptop just isn't recognising these files...... Edited July 25, 2004 by chimpcheng
Si Veteran Posted July 25, 2004 Veteran Share Posted July 25, 2004 Take a look in "c:\windows\downloaded program files", if anything in there says "Unknown" or "Damaged", delete them

You should definitely clear out your cache. I'm not sure about the "art file" though.
