not sure if anyone else has mentioned/seen this--i've only found it happening with my miranda buddy list window, but check it out:

opusbug.png

i'm running the vs with verdana 7 as the font, but i changed it back to tahoma 8, the default, and the black pixel is still there. i don't know what the deal is--anyone?

;)

If someone adds a *perfect* black version (MUST be added to the current styles, not seperate) I'll gladly release it.

I'm a tad fussy though, it has to be perfect, I'll notice any tiny imperfections :ninja:

I'd hate someone to spend time on it for me to turn round and say 'Nope', so if somebody does attempt it, please make it good :p

I have a pretty perfect purple....The close button is a bit dimmed though. It was originally for personal use...but if you want to include it....please do :D

See it here and here ...

I also made a matching Winamp colour scheme. Im so infatuated with this theme!

Thanks for it b0se!!!!

[Edit, the links were screwed, stupid spaces...]

Thats a nice purple :?) Those sort of colours are easy to re-colour yourself though, whereas black takes stock image editing...

How did you get those buttons on foobar?

Thanks i'm really diggin the purple:DD

Those are gfxoasis buttons (from the customization topic ) and you can place them in using columns UI, I dont remember the link off hand though for it...

Well, I was playing around trying to fix this and it turns out that if you make the Miranda window too small, horizontally, then that's what causes the black pixel(s) to show up in the right corner. I'm not sure if there's a way to fix it, but it's no big deal--just have to make the window a little bigger and it takes care of itself. Thanks for this great vs b0se! :D

I can't possibly cater to everyones font/colour needs. Hell, with normal/compact, grey taskbar/coloured taskbar, 4 colours and 3 font choices thats already 48 possible combinations. It's just not feasilble to add 'Frutiger 7, Tahoma 10' etc..

You can adjust the fonts yourself, VERY easily using the Appearance tab (Y)

Edit: Luke98, where is that?

Xan: Thanks, useful thread (Y)

Hi

just one remark... i really like the new ergo buttons. what I don't really fancy are the rounded toolbar buttons in the 'hover' state. i think it's just a little bit too much.

how can I change these into a flatter effect?

thanks

K

p.s : alpha (coloured taskbar version) just rulez!!!

first off, I wanna say fantastic vs b0se, I've always been a fan of your work, loving the quick updates

I found a couple of bugs while using v2.5:

    • "...a low price of just $340..." I don't think it means what you think it means.

    • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.
    • It's a local account with the ability to reset a password at a very base level. I really don't get the issue that gets whipped up around it But you do you
