Doom III is out there! W00T!

Recommended Posts

Mine is order and put to one side... release date in the 13th of August and I can wait a little longer...? :woot: :woot: :woot:

You guys who live inthe States are one lucky people to be able to by this game this week...?

I like some of the pictures... Looks like it going to be a heart pounding game full of action blood and guts.... Sounds a little like Far Cry and just about every single FPS there is around... What the heck at least it will keep us away from other things for five minutes...

music 9/10 (There is only music in the intro/menu/ending and its the same song done by Tweaker. If you like tool you will like the way it sounds)

gameplay 8/10 (The way the game has been designed causes you to slow down a little bit and be cautious)

weapons 8/10 (Pretty cool out of the ones ive seen)

scaryness 6/10 (Alot scarier than any other game ive played. Use good headphones if you have them really enhances the effect)

enjoyability 10/10 (I love it. 2 Thumbs up.)

playability 9/10 (Basically no problems that ive run into. Has some minor puzzles that could slow down your progression for a few minutes. Relies on the dark alot but the flashlight effect is wonderful.)

1280x1024 with everything on but AA here. Smooth gameplay all around :)

it is a hit allover :D

god bless the NET.

,Aug 1 2004, 01:34] My dad was there, and bought the preorder today (dumbass) but I called and he said he will sell it on tuesday :/

Show your dad some respect. He doesn't have to go to all the stores in town looking for a game, nor does he have to buy it for you. Maybe you should consider getting a job and doing it right your self?

Christ what the hell is wrong with kids today.

You're making a lot of assumptions there.

Yes?

DOOM.3-RELOADED + KEYGEN + Manual + Cheats = Seeds-239 Leechers-21191

DOOM 3-RELOADED = Seeds-58 Leechers-20906

Doom 3 = Seeds-2 Leechers-25656

Lats do the mat

25.656 + 20.906 + 21191 = 67.753

67.753 X 55 = $3.726.415

And it's only from one site.

Hi there guys, im new to the site and all... but ive seen this ongoing trend of people taking the word of sites as bond. Try the game yourself and make a judgement based off of that. HardOCP is not an authority on what i enjoy, they dont know my playing style, they dont know what i like and dont like HardOCP gives you their take on a game not yours. So with reference to Doom III it is going to suck for some, because there will just be some elements that dont appeal to them they are neither wrong or right they are simply stating their opinion. Much like i am now.

I think that should be $37,264.15

It was my money  He was out on business, I called him up and asked him to stop at a few places and look. He has all of my money that I work for. I can't drive yet.

Don't make assumptions.

Fine, fact is he's still your dad. Rather or not it was your money is irrelevent to the main point. You should show him some respect when ge goes out to buy something for you instead of calling your dad a dumb ass.

I told him exaclty what to buy.

I don't think you would want ANOTHER 10 dollars of your's wasted, would you?

I'm 24 years old and if I called my dad a dumbass he would beat my ass...

I'm 28, and I'm pretty sure my dad would as well. Not that I'd be that much of a disrespectful brat to ever insult my dad when he was doing me a favor, especially when I spend more than $10 on a typical day for lunch.

Jesus you just don't get it I guess. You should respect your dad regardless of if he wastes 10 bloody dollars. Maybe you should add up how much money he spent raising you. (probably too much it seems) Wasting 10 dollars or getting the wrong thing is not an excuse. You're lucky he went and tried to find it for you at all.

If I was your dad you'd be off to military school with your attitude.

,Aug 1 2004, 19:48] i bet you've never thought it before though right??:rolleyes::

Damn right. Not over 10 dollars, or for getting the wrong thing when he was trying to do something nice for you. You should have been THINKING it was nice of him to try to find it for you. Not publicly calling him a dumbass or whatever because he got the wrong thing.

    • I missed this when you first posted it, but those are awesome icons! I would normally prefer things to be uniform, but each of those icons seems to fit perfectly for the game! If I may ask though, what was your thought process on which icons are circular - MK makes sense - and which ones should be rectangular or square?
    • What I like about Paint is using it almost exclusively for cropping and resizing images I get elsewhere--it's quick, easy and cheap... I keep it glued to my taskbar, in fact. Also, the clipping tool comes in handy, as well (hit print scrn on the keyboard and it activates immediately.)
    • I still remember it fondly today. It was so cool to work in 64-color Half Bright mode and 4.096-color HAM mode (interlaced) when x86 was still in 4-color CGA or 16-color EGA low res. C= never realized what it had until it was far too late--the failure of C= was the failure of its top management. The C= Amiga was 20 years ahead of its time, I always thought. It didn't hurt that in only 512k of chip memory, the Amiga could preemptively multitask when Apple was still doing gray scale graphics on tiny screens and along with everyone else was doing cooperative multitasking (running more than one app at a time in resident memory, but you could only run one of them at a time--had to manually switch between them.) I had a ball with AREXX scripting running between programs that had AREXX ports so that when you sent other applications data and instructions, those running applications could process the same in real time to output! Memories...
    • I'm not sure about that, but it at least "does" a version of 7.1 that this brand new card doesn't....
