I have this problem with the shell commands of opening folders..

Upon clicking like say the My Pictures or My Music on the Windows XP startmenu, I get this "Access Denied" message..

Using Run to say go to a folder will get the same message too..However, by just typing say C:\, it works..

So i believe my registry has a problem in handling how to open folders..

Can someone export the Folder registry they have and paste it here for me?

I have tried the Internet..and well actually this is the code I got from the net too..but it doesn't work..

Using XP SP2..dun think it's SP2 problem..was tweaking my windows when this **** happened

a little too big to keep posting that way, so open it in notepad. From XP Pro SP2. should be about the same in all versions though.

Doesn't seem to help..

The message I get will be

"Name of the Folder Path"

Acccess is Denied

Of course, I dun have any security settings set..

Try the Administrator account. If you don't have it on the welcome screen, run the script I included.
