spotter33
So I was on to install my new Samsung SP1614 160gb S-ATA drive. My BIOS and OS recognized it properly, everything fine, except Windows can't find the drivers for the now active 3rd and 4th IDE channels. So where to get those drivers? My mainboard/chipset has the latest driver updates, so where do I find those "IDE channel" drivers?
nicotrak
Did you install the VIA drivers as well ? This motherboard has the Intel Chipset and a VIA chipset for SATA.

My mobo's manual says that the S-ATA controller is upported by the Southbridge. The IDE-Raid is from VIA.
