Banzai Posted August 10, 2004 Share Posted August 10, 2004 when SP2 comes out on windows update (from what ive read sometime around or on the August 16) , and i wouldnt worry the patch will come through norton you wont have to download it your self auto update should do it for you. daveoc64 Posted August 10, 2004 Share Posted August 10, 2004 If something happened to the AV (maybe caused by a virus) then the AV wouldn't be able to tell you if something is wrong. Also some people don't have their AV kept up to date and their AV software doesn't tell them to do this. In this way the Security Center is an extra safety layer.
