Open regedit go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\" and find the key "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}" and delete it...enjoy

Trying to tell a friend how to remove the recycle bin from the desktop. :)

welcome to neowin man.

i had the same problem. it's caused by divx.

here is how you fix it: open cmd/run: regedit

navigate to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\OpenWithList\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

delete everything with divx in it.

backup your registry before doing that. that should do the job :yes:

7/28/2004 - AOL postmaster return (MSN is aware if this issue. This

issue is cause by AOL blocking MSN. Lets tell the customers that we

apologize for the inconvenience and MSN is working with AOL to resolve

the issue.)
