skatepawn
i have 10 usb ports on my gigabyte motherboard (intel 850e chipset) after installing SP2 only the usb ports that plug directly into the motherboard (by the serial/audio/printer/nic) work... anyone else have this problem? any solution... i noticed in device manager there is a an installed unknown device under USB... im guessing those usb ports are part of a hub on the motherboard. OPaul
So which USB ports do not work? They all plug into your motherboard don't they?

skatepawn
there are no problems in device manager... my motherboard uses an NEC chip hub for the added usb ports i believe...
OPaul
So Windows isn't detecting your USB hub then? In device manager on the unknown devices try installing drivers for them and point it to your C:\Windows\System32 folder if it doesn't find them itself. Or try putting in the motherboard CD and installing the drivers from there (if the hub came with the motherboard).
