JoDaddy
I work at a school, and was kind of curious as to how long a windows SP2 computer would last on the network before getting a virus. Before I had installed windows and within about 10 minutes it had a virus. I installed XPSP2 (slipstreamed), and waited about 3 hours. You could say I cheated, since I had the firewall on, but still it was impressive to me. Then I installed Precision Time (ughhhh), and Weather Bug (ugghhhhhhhhh), and then left to go home. This morning I had not a single pop-up, but Precision Time had still updated my computer. I know this isn't a problem, but there's a lot of those on here and I was pretty impressed by this so I thought I'd share it. Evidently Scoble has tried something similar, and gotten the same results....http://radio.weblogs.com/0001011/2004/08/19.html#a8108

JoDaddy
Not a "study", just curious to see what would happen if the AV got turned off on a computer (or in my case if it wasn't installed), and a "normal" user was using it, how it would act.
