ckempo
I've a Mitac 8640. P4 2.8ghz 1 Gig Ram 40Gig HDD 15" LCD 64mb Geforce 440 Go CDRW/DVD Combo Drive Dual boot WinXP Pro SP2 / Mandrake Linux 10 Not a bad little setup... a higher res screen would have been nice (only manages 1024x768) but it's still more than ample for the use it gets. Still fancy a funky Alienware one instead though... :alien:

noyb
My portable is a a 17" 1.33 PB. It was really a love at first sight thing although i usually come up with bull like "Because im a publisher i need the extra screen space and widescreen is good for spreads" Damn good machine, can't think of a feature that it doesn't have and yet with all that its still only 1" thick. And in my mind the best looking laptop on the planet.

Skyfrog
How does your mac laptop run? It runs well enough with the software from that time. I have Palm Reader and Adobe installed, WordPerfect Suite, and some old games. It's kind of slow on the web but it runs The Secret of Monkey Island just fine. :D I started to get one of those G3 upgrades for it, but decided I didn't use it enough to justify the cost.
