SP2 CD has .NET Framework 1.1 SP1

i copied over the folder DOTNETFX to my SP2 CD so that the GUI button would work. Well, when I formated and installed, I clicked to install the .net framework. as it was installing it shows that it first is isntalling .net framework 1.1 and then it installs .net sp1. because it is updating the .net 1.1 that it just installed to sp1 it prompts for a reboot, and after reboot it continues to finish the install.

i just though it is weird that microsoft released .net 1.1 sp1 to the sp2 cd before it released it to web or anywhere else for that matter.

I wouldn't install SP1 until MS releases it via their website, but thanks for the info :)

u dont have a choice if u use the installer on the sp2 cd. it automatically does it! here is a pic of it below. *note that I already have .net 1.1 installed on the computer that i am installing it on. i just now ran the installer to get a pic of it. usually if u run it on a fresh install in the Installing Components box it lists .net 1.1 and then .net 1.1 sp1 under it. since i already have .net 1.1 on this machine it just shows sp1.

Can (how do) you slipstream Framework onto Windows XP?

i just opened up the sp2 cd and copied the DOTNETFX folder into my XPCD. Now after XP is done installing i just go to the menu and click to install .net framework. then that box pops up and installs 1.1 then sp1.
