Nvidia buys AMD!!!

Introduction

In a move that is bound to make Webmasters of sites that have AMD in the URL feeling frustrated and left out in the cold, Nvidia bought AMD today, April 1, 2002. In a move that had everyone fooled, Nvidia, using excess nForce inventory in the channel to do a stock swap with AMD, has created a new company out of the takeover - AmVidia.

The new company will focus on competing directly as a Tier One OEM thereby removing the biggest pain for would-be Intel competitors and Microsoft haters everywhere. An AmVidia spokesperson told us, "We're going to be using a cheap version of the BeOS, and completely doing away with Microsoft and Intel. Corel is going to supply an Office Suite for us, and we're going to make everything Open Source and Linux. We won't have to do a thing on the software side. There's millions of pieces of really, really useful shareware out there."

Man,this will be sweeeet stuff!!!:D
