im wanting to erm.. download some big files (pretty popular) and was wondering which one you guys thought was the best?

Ares or mammoth are so much better, cause the networks are still "clean"

I don't know about Ares, but Kazaa and Mammoth run on the same network. Straight from the Mammoth client features:

I personally use Shareaza for all my needs. It connects to Gnutella1, EDonkey and Gnutella2 (its own network). It also is good as a BitTorrent client.

ok. im finally downloading the thing with bittorrent its avg. speed is 10kbps. looks like i'll leave it going overnight.

nope, lower your upload speed, that will make it download faster (but then you dotn share much and we become mad!!)

also the speed goes up after usding it a while, lave it running an hour, it can go up to 300kb/s sometimes

Soulseek is the bomb! Donate 5 bucks a month and its even better.

But I feel bittorrent is the future of file sharing. If only more people were as considerate to seed for a while, then it would be reliable.

I'm gonna be testing out all the adware, spyware and malware free clients tonite to see if any of them can change my mind over my two faves.

not since the latest beta. but then again, considering they are one of the only p2p's with no adware/spyware (and therefore winmx is not a source of income for them), i can wait awhile.
