More reason to hate Celine Dion

, the latest version of Celine Dion's album has a new copy protection scheme invented by Sony which will cause any computer running the CD

to crash.

I never bought or enjoyed listening to her music but this has serious implications for future albums.

If they can crash computers just for putting it in a CD-ROM drive, how many other CDs are they going to use it on?

altough the whole crashing thing is a bit weird, if they destroy your data couldn't you sue them?

Sony denied these allegations. "The CD will probably cause a system to crash, but it will not alter anything," the spokeswoman said. "And it won't eject properly, but that's just because the computer has crashed."

^ WTF? So anything bad that happens, you can't blame Sony because 'thats just because the computer has crashed'.

all this new copy protection really doesn't mean all that much. give a geek a week and he'll (or she'll) crack it.

the whole crackin scene is way to smart for these guys.

Well,as more and more people just download mp3s and whole albums,recordcompanys and artists have to do something to protect their work and,to GET PAID,hello!

This is just the beggining,you will see new formats and devices that will make copying impossible.

Start to pay for the things u want,do you remember how you did that?
