So I got drunk on Thursday night at the pub and ended up falling at the end of the night and splitting my chin open.

FAIL.

I wasn't blacked out or anything, I remember everything. Just tripped up and slammed my face off the ground, was climbing stairs so I didn't really have time to put my hands out first.

Nice big hole in my chin - Was bleeding for ages. Should of got it looked at that night, they said they might of put a stitch or two in - But in the morning when I went it was too late to put in stitches because it had already started swelling and scabbing a little.

Dear oh dear :/

So is it just plastered up now?

Pretty much.

Those white strips aim to hold the skin in place to help it scab and start healing. The clingfilm like stuff is just to keep the wound sealed for like 5 days - It's water proof, you can shower with it on.

Suppose to be off to a joint 21st tonight in O'Couture, but I can't drink cause of meds, plus it looks rank as hell.

So I bailed out :p

Ah ok, did they say if it'll leave a scar now because you never got stitches?

And yeah drinking while on meds = bad idea. Did that myself stupidly last year (N)

There's gonna be some sort of scar, how bad we'll need to wait and see :/ The wound itself is like an actual hole, so it could be quite a bad one...

Yeah some of my mates were like "man up and come out". But I ain't hanging bout town till 3-4am sober. That sucks :p Plus meds make me pretty drowsy, fairly strong.

Only 5/6 were out Thursday, and I haven't seen all the others since [nor the two having bdays tonight], so my mates who were out on Thurs were backing me up like "Naw, it really was a bad one, staying in understandable"

Gutted man, hope it heals quickly (Y)

Just chill out tonight instead and play a game or watch a movie or something.

Probs be a good month or so till it's at a decent looking stage!

It's bad, but at least it's not like when I took a layer of skin off my nose back in September. House party at the ex's. Looked like a fud for weeks, but at least it wasn't deep, healed without any scar really.

I'm a steaming ****** :p

Yeah probably watch a movie or something, as I said the meds make me quite tired/drowsy... dunno if I can be arsed playing games. Watched Requiem for a Dream last night, bad idea, one of the most depressing films about. It's good but! Female ass to ass scene from the directors cut FTW :p

scars on your chin only really become a problem if they affect stubble growth. if you ever go for that 'rough' look it can look like the razor slipped :p

trying a wheelie and smashing my chin on a curb when i was 8 came back to bite me later in life

Nooooo!

I love having a beard sometimes smiley-beard.png

And ouch, that sounds sore :| Did you need stitches for that?

no, it was more of a deep graze than a split, so there was nothing to stitch together... my chins took a fair pounding though, as i used to bmx race as a child, so falling off and landing chin first happened a fair bit.

i don't have any real scars (when clean shaven), just a couple of blank patches on the underside of my chin when the stubble grows through.
