Only if there is warez files inside them.  RAR is probably the most widely used compression format in the warez community.

But 7z is the best. :ninja: They could compress it better, and save them bandwith. :ninja:

Oh, and it would be kinda fnny se a warez monkey give away WinRAR in a RAR file.

I'm sure g2g is already happening.

You need two things:

1) winrar (can't believe some people here didn't knew about it) to split the files --> http://www.rarsoft.com/rar/wrar340.exe

2) axcrypt, to encrypt the rared files (better encryption) or encrypt with winrar itself --> http://axcrypt.sourceforge.net/

If you want, for example, share a movie or episode of 600MB you split it into 60 files and 'post' it to a common mailbox amongst a few users who wich to share the info. Everyone downloads the 60 files (a lot of work indeed, but there are download managers for that purpose), and then open them all with the same axcrypt default pass...

This way you also by-pass the big-brother gmail system, because they can't scann the encrypted content...

Of course, when sharing music files it's a lot easier,as these files are smaller...

Of course, a mail system must be used as a mail system... but then again, I saw people mailing me 35MB movies over SMTP once...ppl do the most crazy stuff to share files anyway... why not this...

If you want to go through all the trouble to set that up, go for it. I personally would not see the value in doing it that way. My time is much more important than worrying about splitting this and then encrypting that, and then un-encrypting, then, er, un-splitting. Just go out and buy the damn movie!
