can't find autochk -> bluescreen

Recommended Posts

I bought another stick of 256MB PC-133 SDRAM this week. I stuck in my A7V with a Duron600@1000(256MB PC-133 SDRAM before).

I turned on my computer and suddenly Win XP can't find autochk and a few seconds later stops with a blue screen. I tried all kinds of different settings. Didn't help. I also took it out and switched to different memory banks. Didn't work either. It worked fine the last time before.

Win 98 and Mandrake 8.1 run fine.

Can anyone help?

Matt

I use a regular GlobalWin FOP-32 or something. I didn't have any stability problems before. Maybe I try lowering the Frequency.

Thanks anyway.

Same fan as me! Came with my Duron 800 from Overclockers. It is supposed to be run at 1GHz but as I don't need the extra I leave it at 800MHz. Until I get a better graphics card that is...
