Warez, warez. Its funny how this topic wasn't talking about it, but suddenly one user changes everything.

It changed to warez because somebody asked for the enhanced version. Which you're not supposed to have access to if you haven't bought it. Hence if the person had access to it and a serial number but hasn't purchased it, then it would be warez.

Besides, it's a great program that is definately worth the price. Everyone, do yourself a favor and purchase it. You won't regret it.

Plus, I am seeing some suggestions (here and at wincustomize) that they may add transparency for version 4.5. It seems that WB just keeps getting better.

I don't know if you've got the version from OD or from CNet, but if you have the OD version there's been some wierdness with it lately. Reboot, try again. I know I had to try 3 times for the latest SkinStudio (released concurrently with WB4.4), although I only had to try once for WB4.4.

It should definitely say 4.4, though. Where are you getting it?

Tem, I do indeed know what I am talking about. You asked for somebody to post a link to the enhanced version of WB, did you not? Having the enhanced version without a serial number is, as Athletictrainer describes, is warez. The only legal way to acquire the enhanced version is to download it via SDC, if you have an ODNT subscription, or via the link sent to you in the email from Stardock when you buy the app. Asking for a link to the enhanced version or for someone to send the enhanced version to you is asking for warez. If you're smart, you'll purchase a legal copy of the program. Once you do, you won't regret it.

After downloading and installing the regular version, I'm still having the SP2/AMD64 taskbar problem.

SP2/AMD64 problem?

I installed the regular version to give it a try out and it didn't skin my taskbar, after I restarted I couldn't load any theme  where did it say about the SP2/AMD64 problem?

Edit, ok, it's fixed by completely turning off DEP via boot.ini but surely there's gotta be a fix along the line, users can't be expected to completey turn off a security feature to run some skins can they?

WindowBlinds 4.4 (available now for registered users and for the public next week) includes all the updates for SP2/AMD64's. And if there were some software DEP issues elsewhere for non-AMD64's, that should be all sorted as well.

Registered users can download the update through Stardock Central or have http://www.stardock.com/support resend the latest download link and serial to the email address you ordered under.

My apologies, you appear to have been right for the standalone enhanced build. I hadn't updated a file in the distro properly.

As of 5pm EST, I've refreshed it. You should be ok now.

You'll need to request the download link again, as I've changed it.

Im am having a problem with SP2 2180 still and some installs of WB4.4 latest build. Still won't fullly skin and a "must close program" error always pops up and skins look like they are Windows classic overlays and not Luna overlays. Regular XP Luna and Xpstyles skins work fine though.

    • Password Safe 3.72.0 by Razvan Serea Password Safe is a password database utility. Like many other such products, commercial and otherwise, it stores your passwords in an encrypted file, allowing you to remember only one password (the "safe combination"), instead of all the username/password combinations that you use. Once stored, your user names and passwords are just a few clicks away. Using Password Safe you can organize your passwords using your own customizable references—for example, by user ID, category, web site, or location. You can choose to store all your passwords in a single encrypted master password list (an encrypted password database), or use multiple databases to further organize your passwords (work and home, for example). And with its intuitive interface you will be up and running in minutes. PasswordSafe was originally designed by the renowned security technologist Bruce Schneier and released as a free utility application. Password Safe 3.72.0 changelog: Fixed bugs Improved font scale handling - should resolve font size issues on high resolution displays. • I've got a SoundBlasterX G6 that I use in my streaming setup. Sounds great to me and I've had zero issues with the ancient software package so far in Win11. That G6 has 7.1, Dolby, fully working SPDIF and since it's a USB device it's outside of my rig so I don't have to worry about EMF distortion. Looks like for now this is a pass for me as I think I have better hardware....
