Puerto Ricos next claim to fame. He seems to be the real thing.

Miguel Cotto is not just one of the better younger fighters, the Puerto Rican is one of the better fighters period! With a thorough wipe out last Saturday of two-time amateur conqueror Kelson Pinto coming inside of six full heats, Cotto is beginning to prove that he is complete and his pugilistic hull is solid. In a nutshell, I see "No Leaks" in the now 21-0, (17 KO?s) Cotto. Knocking Pinto down thrice, the power on his short left hooks is amazing! HBO Boxing After Dark analyst Emanuel "The Goldfather" Steward was on the money when he compared the effects of Cotto?s hooks, "Pound for Pound," with that of Mike Tyson.

With 10 being perfect, the overall grade for Cotto from yours truly was a 9. His backing off of Pinto a few times was the miniscule excuse I put forth for the 21-year old not snagging a perfect 10! Chatting with HBO PPV head Mark Taffett during Sunday?s west coast edition of "Ring Talk Radio," Taffett stated that, "I?ve talked with Miguel a few times for as much as 30 minutes. He speaks and understands English fluently. And based not only on his performance against Pinto, but his overall ability, I believe we have a superstar."
