PureEdit
Alright, so I booted up knoppix ppc on my iBook today to see what it was like, while looking around my OS X partition (hda10) to load some audio files into XMMS, I deceided to look at the contents of hda1-9, which I thought were just small partitions that OS X used while booting. Well on this hda9 happens to be almost a full OS X install, including my home folder from back in the day when I did an archive install from Jaguar to Panther. Anybody know why this is here still? Is there a way to browse it from OS X and delete the stuff? I would like to get the disk space back, there is at least 2gb of stuff on this hidden partition. Vice
Can you not remove it from knoppix?
PureEdit
Can you not remove it from knoppix? knoppix mounts everything in read only mode, and I am not sure howto unmount and remount it as read/write. I would like to view the some of the files from OS X though, most of files are not openable in knoppix because of permission issues. And of course I would like to know why this stuff is still here. Alex Shenoy
just su to root. ther is no passwd so it should be very easy. Then rm the stuff you don't want.

I need to mount the partition as read/write first, by default it is mounted as readonly.
