Splitting the database and html. So one server for mysql and one for apache.

Still testing though

I thought it would be better if the mySQL server resided on the same server as the webserver.. but I guess we'll have to find out.. :p

in testing for some thing so simple to be done?

This is what i would do.

Get two servers, with cpanel. Put the php and web content on the server with most memory and cpu. Then on the other server put the mysql DB on.

Then in invision change the config to tell invision too seek the mysql db from the other mysql server. and wolaaa u have a very fast forum.

Then too make it even faster, put the two servers in a VLAN with 100mbit connections.
