Safari Cookie Issues

Safari 1.2.3 - I log in on neowin/gmail/torrent sites/whatever everything is fine.

I close safari and open it again - cookies are gone, and I need to login again.

Any ideas why it wont save cookies? I could just use FireFox/OmniWeb/Opera, but I would like to know whats up with this.

Oh yeah, it just started afted I did a clean install of OS X and installed all the updates.
