"Lost" TV Show - Currently Season 2 (US aired)

I had really hoped they would stop with those flashbacks. They bore the hell out of me... I mean we know the background of the cast from the first season and now they should focus more on the island...

If they hadn't done the flash back we wouldn't have known the connection between Jack & Desmond.

Exactly. Also, they give us important insights into who these people really were before the crash. These people have changed very quickly and some very drastically since they've been on the island. Their survival instincts are kicking in, their hidden traits are coming forward, they are taking risks. All of this becomes even more engaging and meaningful when you see a flashback of Jack having basically no compassion for a woman that may be paralized from the waist down, and even as he transforms in the flashback just, he is shocked to find out the final outcome of the surgery, directly after AGAIN telling the woman there was no hope and he had failed (I'm trying not to spoil). Plus Desmond trying to explain to him that exactly what happened may be possible ;)

You know Jack eventually marries the woman he operated on, right? That was the topic of a flashback in the 1st season.

I thought that was his wife, I wasn't sure..thanks for clearing that up.

Hmm, I guess I had forgotten that part of the story :( No Matter, I assumed they got married later even though I must have missed that episode ;)

a lot of posts in one day... and what really sucks is, im only on disc 2 of season 1. and theres.. 5-6?

people at work just started talking about it, and now my WHOLE work is hooked on it.. so im playing catch up on this show.. and im done the first disc, and truely amazed! i don't even know why im on the internet.. i wanna watch more!

Man what a way to start off.? LOVE IT!

Can anyone figure out what Walt was saying?? It didnt make any sense at all to me.

The Walt thing is VERY freaky. The reason you can't understand him is because he is actually talking in reverse!

If you get what he says and reverse it, you can hear him say "Press the button. No button's bad"

This is very strange if you ask me... and the only button I can think of is the "Execute" button that Jack was about to press. If I can find the link to the wav file of Walt talking reversed, I'll post it here.

[EDIT: Here is the link with what Walt said but played in reverse. http://www.foxmod.com/lost/Walt.mp3 [/EDIT]

Does anybody have the "secret scene" that wasn't shown in the premiere? It was supposed to be shown during Good Morning America the next day.

Haven't watched it, but I think this is.

Yeah, that's it. It's kinda hard to hear though. It's Jack & Charlie talking about Kate going back to the hatch. Charlie says "maybe she wanted you to tell her not to go".

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought Jack was still married  I thought that was why he really had not gone after Kate as much.....

That makes me think... aren't the relatives of the lost ones looking for them?

    • AltSendme 0.4.2 is out.
    • Simple answer is yes, you will still get the Windows updates and as long as browser is up to date, you will be good. Only thing secure boot does is protect you against boot level threats and make it harder to install other OS's. I've been looking into this pretty thoroughly lately myself as wifes computer has secure boot disabled plus my other, older computers that run Linux, don't have secure boot enabled. Have seen all kinds of questions about this on the Linux Mint and MX Linux forums. Just don't suddenly enable secure boot now.
