WOW!

I have been following this series over here in the UK, and I am so impressed. It's only up to Episode 10 of Season 1 over here, but I've been watching it like a mad man and am up to speed (just watched Season 2, Episode 2).

People were saying that it will drag out and become boring, but it is getting better and better each episode.

Awesome. awesome show.

i cant find it on torrentspy ):

Discussion here is going by where the server here is located at.

Which I believe is in America.

I am sorry u foreigners feel spoiled, but you just have to deal with the fact, you get to see it later, and it's not our fault.

is it so much to ask to continue on where the post started e.g. blanking out spoilers like everyone else did back in January? come on it only takes

im not asking you to no discuss it just to hide spoilers like it was requested in previous posts on this topic.

Dont get me wrong it is insightful to see how it is progressing, I aint asking you to not speak about it. ;)

Why?

Lost is an American-based TV show.

I am not saying I am inConsiderate. It's just before West Coast, we hide it, once after West coast it ought be a fair game.

When there is a Chinese TV show that was showed in China yesterday, I don't expect myself goto a Chinese site to see discussions in Spoiler tags since they already saw it themselves.

Cool episode.

I really wonder what would have happened if Jack hadn't pushed the button

Not to mention, Walt when he was talking backwards mentioned NOT to push the button.

This show is so awesome...

you mean the "terms of use", yea its going to go to Disney, ABC is owned by them. Its the same for the site/blog for "Invasion" on ABC also. Sorry to kill your buzz but its nothing special, they are not trying to fool you with the Disney link.

586632232

Yes, I'm aware of that... just pointing out to others that it another site just like the oceanic815 (whatever it is) site.

And you wouldn't care if we Brits etc spoilt a show that was broadcast here first?

Kindly remove your head from your ass :)

Yeah, I wish he didn't pushed it. Maybe more answers have been answered. Was michelle rodriguez in the plane???

One thing comes to mind,

if dharma is a research center, and the shark has the same logo, maybe the island and the whole plain crush is part of that

sharklogo13ip.jpglockelogo19ew.jpg

586596371

Dharma facility 3 of 6 aka 'Swan' is the facility that Desmond had been comandeering. The swan logo on the right belongs to 3 of 6.

So which symbol is on the left? 1 of 6? 2 of 6? etc? Do the other facilities reside on the same island, or are they located elsewhere in the world?

personally i don't like michelle rodriguez BECAUSE she always plays the same role. completely one sided "actress". that and her face is annoying.

586629761

Agreed. But she was already casted well before the end of season 1.

But yeah, she's so annoying.

It seems too obvious but I think the Swan station is some kind of psychology experiment.  I'm not sure how much to believe of the video. At first I though maybe the "monster" is controlled magnetically but now I'm not sure.

Also did anyone catch BF Skinner and the part about the utopia? There may be some clues here.  Skinner wrote on a utopian society controlled by his theories. Behavior modification and stuff.

The button and the film reminded me of the experiment where two people are used. One of them is in on the test but the other doesn't know. They are taken to seperate rooms with a mic on the person in the know along with an electrode hooked up to them. The other person is instructed that if the hooked up person answers triva questions incorrectly that they are to engage the electrode and increase the voltage each time.

The point of the test is to determine how far a person will go in order to follow the instructions of an authoritative figure. In this case a person wearing a white lab coat.  I can't remember who conducted this test though.

I still wonder if there are other stations on the island and these people have happened to find it accidentally because of the crash or if they are really part of the experiment and we are lead to believe there are others. The film reveals there are supposedly 6 orientations and this was number 3. Also refernces to zoology which explains the polar bears and the shark with the logo. And parapsychology which is related to Walt. Makes you wonder if they are in the middle of a science experiment gone wrong or just a science experiment.

The writers of this show give you just enough to make you keep watching just before they throw something else in. Makes me wonder if we are being conditioned to a stimulus ourselves...

That is the theory I have been working with lately. I am starting to wonder if the flashbacks aren't really true, if maybe they have all been programmed and realesed to see how they respond in a "lab" setting.

there was too many 5 minute "Lost" interruptions for me to enjoy the commericals  :pinch:

Anyone else get that feeling.... 5 mins. of "Lost" then Commericals, might as well change the TV slot to Commericals with a break of "Lost" now and then

586630524

Funny, I commented to my wife the exact same thing. Way too many commercials, way too often. I guess they figure we are a captive audience and won't change the channel.

:pinch: I cannot believe this... I watched the entire first season in one weekend and found the first two episodes of the second season and watched them so I'd be completely caught up for last night and what happens, I fall asleep (before the show even starts - missed the entire thing)

Thank God for torrent :shifty:

@JediXAngel - Love the sig... Lilly is so beautiful

If you look at the model in the video it resembles the "rat in the cage" thing also.

So far the second season hasn't captivated me like what I was hoping, but that first season was EXTREMELY addictive

    • Ignoring the fact that this "colony" kicked the empire of King George's arse during those early years... You are confusing the First Industrial Revolution (which was clearly pulled out of some butt-hurt Brit historian's arse after the fact) with the Second Industrial Revolution (aka now called the Technological Revolution, undoubtedly by that same butt-hurt Brit), which transitioned the world from the UK/UPS Empire to the USA as the world's only superpower. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_Revolution I hope you realize that I am having big fun here.
    • OpenAI announces GPT‑5.6 Sol, its next-generation flagship model beating Claude Mythos 5 by Pradeep Viswanathan Credit: OpenAI OpenAI today announced a limited preview of its new GPT-5.6 model series, which includes the Sol, Terra, and Luna models targeting different price points. GPT-5.6 Sol is the flagship model targeted at demanding reasoning and agentic workloads. GPT-5.6 Terra is positioned as a balanced model for everyday work, featuring performance competitive with GPT-5.5 while being half the cost. GPT-5.6 Luna is the fastest and most affordable model, delivering strong capability at a lower price point. Unlike previous model releases from OpenAI, GPT-5.6 is starting with a limited preview for a small group of trusted partners due to U.S. government restrictions. As expected, OpenAI previewed its plans and the models' capabilities to the U.S. government ahead of launch, and the government asked OpenAI to limit the first wave of access to select partners. OpenAI also mentioned in the official announcement blog post that it does not believe this type of government access process should become the long-term default. OpenAI highlighted that GPT-5.6 Sol comes with a robust safety stack featuring improved protections for higher-risk activity, sensitive cyber requests, and repeated misuse. The company also spent several weeks pressure-testing the system and hardening it against real-world attacks. On the capability side, as expected, GPT-5.6 Sol is OpenAI’s strongest model yet. It delivers better results in agentic performance across coding, biology, and cybersecurity. On the Terminal-Bench 2.1 benchmark, which tests command-line workflows requiring planning, iteration, and tool coordination, GPT-5.6 Sol sets a new record with a score of 91.9%, beating Anthropic's Claude Mythos 5. Additionally, GPT-5.6 introduces a new "max" reasoning effort for even deeper reasoning. The new "ultra" mode uses subagents to accelerate complex work beyond what a single agent can handle. Pricing starts at $5 per million input tokens and $30 per million output tokens for Sol. Terra costs $2.50 for input and $15 for output, while Luna costs $1 for input and $6 for output. GPT-5.6 comes with more predictable prompt caching, including support for explicit cache breakpoints and a 30-minute minimum cache life. Sol will also launch on Cerebras in July at speeds up to 750 tokens per second for select customers. OpenAI plans to make GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna broadly available in ChatGPT, Codex, and the API in the coming weeks.
    • I'm not sure if you are trolling because I saw people saying this with the straight face, but there were no United States of America when industrial revolution started, just United Colonies 🤣 p.s. I'm not British, so I'm not offended.
    • Glad I uninstalled this incredibly buggy browser. Looking at that changelog, they clearly don't test their updates at all.
