"Lost" TV Show - Currently Season 2 (US aired)

Yeah luckily it doesn't really give away much more of the juicy bits than you could see for youself in the promo vids.

It looks like it'll be a sweet episode!

LIGHT 'EM UP is going to be a new catchphrase I guess, I claim first dibs!

Someone mentioned earlier how Michael is starting to look like the French woman because of the hair, etc. but if you think about it, they are nearly identical in behavior since they BOTH have had their child taken away from them. It's interesting how their erratic behavior is paralleled. I wonder if Micheal will end up in following the French woman's footsteps thinking everyone is "infected" and starts killing people... who knows?!

OMFG, it just went to commercial, at the worst possible time!

the guy who origionally captured walt, came out of the jungle, and you can hear his voice.. but cant see his face.. then it cut to commercial

this show is AMAZING!!

this show gets better and better every week. i can't stop watching. Is anyone getting a strange vibe in the nature of "the beach", where they didn't want word of the island to get out, and tried to keep it a secret?

:omg: I was so not expecting that! This is getting good

very very good :o i can't wait for this

war to start. one more thing.. WHY doesn't jack bone kate already??? he's a fool not to.

and i gotta say.. right at the end, i was shocked, and i felt it on the inside too.

When jack's wife said she was leaving him.. i was about to cry.. so sad for jack :( but now we know about jack and his wife

i dont know about next weeks episode.. didn't look that good on the preview.

Did anyone notice that when the "boatman" brought Kate out he said "Alex bring her here." Isn't Alex the boy that the French woman lost?

Yes. I don't think the writers would double a name just for the hell of it. I think this episode started something huge...we'll find out what it is over the season

Alex is a girl.

Also, Jack isn't going to 'bone' Kate because Kate is more into Sawyer and has been since almost the start of the show. There are only a few episodes where it seems like there's chemistry between them then it becomes clear that she is far more interested in Sawyer.

As for war, well I think it would only be realistic if the Losties got totally beaten, surely? Methinks the Losties find a way of getting an advantage (security system?).

Gabriel is very hot!

Then why hasn't Sawyer Boned Kate yet, he wanted it! So if you think about it, it makes NO sense other than the writers are saving the Love for Jack and Kate later!

I think you are wrong. I think Kate secretly wants Jack!

i doubt theyre starting an army, rather, jack want to know the amount of time the others took to build their army, that would be my approach to the situation

No, that wouldn't be my read on it.

Basically, Jack realized that sooner or later, the Others will come after everyone. The Others look like they have a decent amount of people. If the suvivors don't train up and prepare for that, they will be dead at some point. You saw how easily the others tore apart the unarmed tailies, 4-5 of the armed survivors cannot protect the other 40 unarmed ones.

If almost everyone gets armed and some basic gun training, they could probably hold off the others if an attack happened. It would be their only shot, as it is clear they are living on borrowed time.

Disagree with you somewhat. I think it's more to do with Jack's character being unwilling to loose anything. As his wife said, he needs to have a problem to fix at all times. Add to that his desire over the past season to always come out on top in any situation....

• New theory I am wondering about. Maybe this is all an imagined scenario? What if “the island” wasn’t real? Everyone is knocked out, or connected via some kind of group consciousness. The black smoke is maybe contact from the outside world? “Special people” like Walt have maybe either woken up, or somehow have “dream control” and can alter the “reality” of their group consciousness”? What do you all think?

I think you miss '";)e Matrix".... ;)

Jack looks to be on a suicide run. He's always telling people what to do and imposing his will on the others. Maybe Jack is the;)#39;plant'.... ;)

    • NASA: This asteroid may not kill us but it probably won't be far off either by Sayan Sen Image by Zelch Csaba via Pexels New observations by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope have eliminated the last remaining impact threat posed by asteroid 2024 YR4, ruling out the possibility that the near-Earth object could strike the Moon in December 2032. NASA said observations collected by Webb on February 18 and 26, 2026, enabled scientists to refine the asteroid's orbit enough to "rule out a chance of lunar impact on Dec. 22, 2032." Instead, asteroid 2024 YR4 is now expected to pass the Moon at a distance of about 13,200 miles (21,200 km). The agency stressed that the update "reflects improved precision in our understanding of where the asteroid is expected to be in 2032 rather than a shift in its orbital path." The announcement closes a remarkable chapter in planetary defence that began in late 2024, when the approximately 60-metre-wide asteroid briefly became the most closely watched near-Earth object in the world. Discovered on December 27, 2024, by the ATLAS telescope in Chile, 2024 YR4 initially appeared to have a small chance of colliding with Earth on December 22, 2032. As astronomers gathered more observations, the impact probability briefly climbed to around 3%—the highest ever recorded for an asteroid of its size—before steadily falling as its orbit became better understood. By early 2025, international observations had ruled out any significant risk to Earth. However, astronomers were left with another possibility: a roughly 4% chance that the asteroid could instead strike the Moon. "The probability that asteroid 2024 YR4 will strike the Moon on 22 December 2032 is now approximately 4%," the European Space Agency (ESA) had said last year, noting that "there is a 96% chance that the asteroid will not impact the Moon." ESA said such an impact, while unlikely, would have presented an extraordinary scientific opportunity. "It is a very rare event for an asteroid this large to impact the Moon – and it is rarer still that we know about it in advance. The impact would likely be visible from Earth, and so scientists will be very excited by the prospect of observing and analysing it," said Richard Moissl, Head of ESA's Planetary Defence Office. "It would certainly leave a new crater on the surface. However, we wouldn't be able to accurately predict in advance how much material would be thrown into space, or whether any would reach Earth," he added. The asteroid also exposed an important blind spot in planetary defence. Because 2024 YR4 approached Earth from the direction of the Sun, it remained hidden from ground-based telescopes until after its closest approach. "We looked into how Neomir would have performed in this situation, and the simulations surprised even us," Moissl said. "Neomir would have detected asteroid 2024 YR4 about a month earlier than ground-based telescopes did. This would have given astronomers more time to study the asteroid's trajectory and allowed them to much sooner rule out any chance of Earth impact in 2032." He added, "As an infrared telescope, like Webb, Neomir would have also immediately given us a much better estimate for the asteroid's size, which is very important for assessing the significance of the hazard." The latest NASA observations underscore the value of space-based infrared telescopes in tracking faint asteroids. According to NASA, Webb made "among the faintest ever observations of an asteroid," extending the object's observational record by nearly eight months at a time when it had become too faint for other telescopes. That additional data allowed scientists to eliminate the remaining uncertainty surrounding its 2032 flyby. Although asteroid 2024 YR4 is now confirmed to pose no threat to either Earth or the Moon, scientists say its discovery remains one of the most significant real-world tests of the international planetary defence system, demonstrating how continued observations can rapidly transform an object once considered hazardous into one whose future path is known with high confidence. • Yup. Google is just scraping the entire internet for their own ad profits without sharing revenue with the sources. It's obviously stealing, but since these sites depend upon Google's search scraps to survive... As for me, I just stopped using Google for anything except Reddit searches. If Reddit's own search wasn't complete crapola, I'd never use Google search again.
