talked with about 20 friends today at school....definitely a sub-par episode. not interesting at ALL to me. i felt like walking away. and did at parts. so umm....

what happened with the fire or something? i didn't see how that started.

Charlie started it so he could distract everyone and take the baby to get it baptized by Eko.

i dunno i dont think charlie was using any..... locke was a little harsh at first but charlie deserves the ass whoopin in the end definatly... stealin babies and what not. well until next week, anybody find anything in the skyline or w/e?

i don't think charlie used... he told jack he didn't use any

and locke... interesting character, how he was been changing and reacting differently

i wonder what he plans with the statues and his purpose by changing the lock (i guess that's what he was doing...)

Given Charlie's weird behavior and all, I suspect that if he wasn't using, he was going to when Locke stumbled upon him. Looked like he was either using or suffering big time withdrawal. Either case, you could explain the dreams he was having with that.

I could totally understand Locke's behavior. Charlie basically lied at every turn, despite Locke's best efforts to help him and show him that clean is the way to go. Not only that, but Charlie was acting extremely strange when it came to Claire and the baby, to the point of possibily harming the baby (the dream where he rescued the baby, only for it to turn out he actually sleepwalked and stole the baby), and even the point of setting a fire to steal the baby again when everyone was distracted.

Quite frankly, I don't blame Locke one bit. He was absolutely sick of Charlie and what he was pulling.

Dont know if anyone of you noticed in one of charlies dreams...you can see the drug plane at the middle point on the left side....

(Image is 1.4mb so didnt display for the benefit of dial uppers)

wow

that's very subtle! what would be the meaning of that?

donno but maybe he's just seeing the past from the island in his dream...its not like the first person is it...locke saw it didnt he and boone pointed to it if I remember :pinch:

Top left corner of the gif.

Did anyone hear brief scream when Locke was coming out of the hatch meeting up with Charlie?

Its just the door handle squeaking. :p

Oh come on..your as bad as people on the tv show, your always looking for the logical answer. Locke has a dream about the plane... drug use perhaps? No, Charlie saw what he saw for a reason... the island has always had a Good/Bad theme to it... and so has Aaron. Didn't the mind reader guy from first season have a spaz cos he didn't want Aaron to be brought up by anyone other than his mother... perhaps to prevent him from going down a bad path? (to throw a more extreme theory, Aaron has super powers or something like that, so he'll end up using those powers for good or for evil. The pyshic told them to catch that plane because Clare was intent on giving him up, thus preventing them from being seperated.) Baptising him is just another way of making sure hes on the good.

Thought that episode was alright but not great, seems as we get deeper into Season 2 there is alot less cliffhangers now.

Anyways in that episode at the end, what was Locke doing to that wall with a little pin?

The beechcraft is there to symbolise the drugs.

Anyway it's not a head on the power station it's part of the cranes in front. Trust me, this has been checked on HD.

There is a sign on the right of the power station which says "unreadable construction." This may appear in a later episode.

    • Hi all. I have a seven year old Acer laptop which according to Acer website can't receive the new MS updates. This device lives in my bedroom and is purely a consumption device. No gaming, no nothing. I have followed online instructions and turned off secure boot which now gives me a green tick in W11 Security. Now, I have MWB Premium now for several years and I'm reasonably careful with my online activity with this laptop. I'm also not a gamer in any way so I'm not asking much from this laptop. Given that, am I safe to continue using this device given I've turned off secure boot? That's it, that's my question.

    • Let me get this straight... It was a web interface for Gmail, so if privacy at Google wasn't concerning enough you'd be going through two companies. And their big feature was the very thing that would make people consider dumping Gmail.
    • Microsoft's fast coding model MAI-Code-1-Flash comes to Copilot Business and Enterprise by Karthik Mudaliar Microsoft’s recently announced MAI-Code-1-Flash model is now generally available to GitHub Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise customers. With this support, organizations can have more centralized policy controls and billing while finally being able to use Microsoft’s lightweight, first-party coding model. According to GitHub’s announcement, Business and Enterprise plan administrators must enable the MAI-Code-1-Flash policy in Copilot settings before developers can access the model. Microsoft says that MAI-Code-1-Flash is for fast, iterative coding work rather than the most demanding architectural or debugging tasks. GitHub’s official model comparison page says that the model is great for "general-purpose coding and writing," while it excels at fast, accurate code completions and explanations Microsoft introduced MAI-Code-1-Flash on June 2 as part of a broader collection of internally developed MAI models. GitHub subsequently expanded support to Copilot CLI, the Copilot cloud agent, GitHub.com chat, GitHub Mobile, Visual Studio, JetBrains IDEs, Eclipse, and Xcode, but said support for managed Business and Enterprise customers was still on the way. In Microsoft’s own benchmark testing, MAI-Code-1-Flash scored 51.2% on SWE-Bench Pro, compared with 35.2% for Anthropic’s Claude Haiku 4.5. Microsoft also claimed that the model used up to 60% fewer tokens on SWE-Bench Verified. Do note that these are vendor-run results rather than independent measurements. The model is billed at provider list pricing under GitHub’s usage-based system. GitHub currently lists MAI-Code-1-Flash at $0.75 per million input tokens, $0.075 per million cached input tokens, and $4.50 per million output tokens. For organizations, the main incentive to use MAI-Code-1-Flash is likely to be efficiency rather than maximum capability. A smaller model that responds quickly and limits unnecessary output is quite useful for repetitive agent tasks at scale, especially after GitHub Copilot’s move toward usage-based billing. The "Flash" model is recommended for fast work and not necessarily for huge repositories with loads of context. It's better if teams compare their output with other larger models, especially if they're working on security-sensitive changes and complex, multi-file work.
